Ellie's place was in a great location, just a short walk to the shops, food and bars in Squirrel Hill. The room was nice and cosy. Thanks Ellie!

Clean, quiet, comfortable. Host is warm, responsive, and accommodating. If you don't need a kitchen, this is a great place.

Great stay. Clean and very comfortable room. Ellie was wonderful and always promptly replied to any of our questions. We really enjoyed sitting on the front patio reading. There is an amazing bakery one block away.

Ellie is very quick on communication. The house has a history yet still stylish.

The bedroom had very thin curtains that barely blocked out any light so it was hard to sleep in. Also the upstairs smelled musty; perhaps because of the hallway carpet and previous pets?

Response from Ellie:
Hello, I wish you had informed me of your concern during your stay so I could address it for you. I would have been happy to and mentioned that in my message to you. Since I've never had those complaints before, and I've never noticed anything myself, I'm not sure I believe in their accuracy from you...There are blinds to close in addition to curtains. The pretty curtains provide privacy and you are always welcome to close blinds as well, to block the light. MANY people use and travel with eye covers, including myself. They are an easy way to block out light. Regarding the smell you imagined, like I said, I don't notice anything and nobody else ever has either so I'm not sure how to explain your experience... Perhaps the smell was on your clothing? Regardless of the reality of your accusations, I would have been happy to open one of my air fresheners in the hallway for you, or open a window, or put the air on higher, if you had mentioned this to me during your stay. Instead of leaving a public review mentioning your issues that all had very easy fixes, and lowering my rating based solely on easily remedied issues, I would recommend actually communicating any issues you have to your host to ensure the best possible experience.
