Everything was as pictured and it was basically a pleasant stay. Kamela is helpful and easy to get in touch with and the parking was not as bad as I feared. The bed was not comfortable for me and there were a lot of noises from the old refridgerator and upstairs tenants. Overall it was fine, but not as private and quiet as I hoped.

Alissa, I'm so sorry to hear the bed wasn't comfortable for you. Most people find it incredibly comfortable. It's a bed from the W Hotel line with a pillow top mattress. Perhaps you prefer firmer beds...? And, yes, the fridge does make some noises that are a little louder than average - sorry that bothered you. Usually the upstairs tenants are pretty quiet... I'm sorry to hear you heard more noise from them than you would've wanted. I'm glad you had a good stay overall and I hope you have a safe drive home!

Small studio with all the basics. It was nice there were condiments and other things to help cook. There is a french press for making coffee. The bed was comfy and the shower had very good water pressure. The neighbor's dog was super sweet, although they didn't pick its poop up from the yard. The place was pretty simple and could've used a few improvements, such as the toaster that needs to be replaced. Also, the bathroom door didn't really close all the way.

A very walkable and cozy place right next to downtown Oakland provided a perfect getaway weekend. Additionally, the TV/speaker made the late nights fun.

This studio was perfect and completely matched the pics & overall description. It was clean, adequately equipped with everyday items, and the location is perfect if you're looking to be close to the Hwy and centrally located near things to do in Oakland. Super close to the lake (we walked it) and close to bart stations (walked their too). Kamela was able to meet us upon arrival and was super hospitable. I'd definitely stay again if I was traveling by myself or with 1 other person.

Great place. Exactly as described. Had coffee at Whole Foods every morning then headed out to see the sights. San Francisco was about 30 mins away by car, and BART was about a 20 minute walk. HOWEVER, we were just a couple minutes walk from great attractions in Oakland! We accidentally happened upon a great lake and eating area on our last evening in town. Wish we could have spent more time exploring this area!

Ah Lake Merritt is one of my favorite spots in Oakland (hence living 3 blocks away from it!). It was wonderful having you and your little one stay with us for part of your honeymoon! May you have a long, fruitful, fulfilling marriage!

The place is 100% what you see from the pictures. The room definitely carries some personal touch, making it easy to feel homey. It really added to our San F. experience. We are very likely to come back to the studio again for future trips. :)
