We have had a lovely 4 days here at Green Areca Villa and will be sad to leave tomorrow. The room is lovely with a mini fridge, aircon, ensuite with bath, bedside lights (big bonus for me), doors that look out onto the pool which is a great place to have a dip after a hot day's touristing! It's quiet and peaceful, unless someone has died in the village and the wee temple nearby starts up with loud music etc. Thankfully not an everyday occurrence. Hung and his family and staff are really helpful and friendly. The included breakfast is simple but plentiful and the other meals are tasty too. I had the seafood fried rice which was yum. It is slightly away from everything but if you hire a mope you'll be fine. They do have bicycles for free. There is a small shop on the corner where you can buy drinks etc and another little place 2 mins walk away where you can eat which has a similar menu to the villa- Cafe Gio. Really friendly family, limited English but very welcoming and the son in law of the woman who runs it is keen to practice talking with you. All in all, a great place to stay. Especially if you like it quiet and want a pool to dip into whenever you like :)
We stayed at this accomodation with our teens and enjoyed our stay. The rooms were spacious and the pool was a very welcome escape from the heat. The villa is a short taxi ride from central Hoi An in a quiet village which is great when you have had your fill of all the other tourists! The staff were very friendly and helpful.
What an amazing place. We had the most amazing time, so much so that we stayed an extra night. We were looked after well. Fabulous breakfasts every day. We even had dinner there one night and it was amazing. Can't say enough about the place. The pool was a major hit with all of us as we used it a lot. Location was 10-15 minutes bicycle ride away which for us was fabulous. Quiet enough to get good nights rest and easy to get into town. Would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a lovely place to stay. Well worth it. Family was very friendly and accomodating. Hue always wanting to help and make your stay enjoyable. Silly if you pass this place.
We loved staying at the Green Areca with Hung and Sue. Its as beautiful as you see in the photos, with well cared for grounds, and a charming rural setting. Hung was very helpful, and Sue was great - she speaks English well and shared some of her cultural knowledge and background with us. Taxis to town are cheap. Highly recommended. :-)
This is probably the cleanest airbnb we've stayed at in two weeks in Vietnam. Service was amazing, family is very very friendly, as everyone else has mentioned. Free breakfast in the morning, and they offer a full dinner menu (pay extra) at really competitive prices. Floors here are gleaming, you could eat off of them. Bathroom is super super super clean and spacious, the toilet is a full size American toilet which is really nice after traveling so long, hot water is boiling(!) hot and it's hot right away. AC is ice cold. Each unit here is separated from the others, great noise isolation. The pool is super clean, cleaner than any American hotel I've stayed at. This is basically a private 4 or 5 star hotel the size of a bed and breakfast. I'm really really impressed, I wish we could find this quality everywhere we stay. For the younger crowd, the landscaping and lighting make for a very "(SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN)mable" shots. If you can rent out the whole place with 6-12 people this would make got a great bachelor or bachelorette place. This is pretty close to downtown Hoi An (7-10 minutes), but you should plan on renting a scooter (cheaper than you think!) or taking a taxi. It's just too hot and humid to bicycle here. You'll note that no locals bicycle here, that's for a reason. They offer scooters for rent here - take advantage of this. All in all five stars, I would definitely book this again.
Awesome. Stunning. Warm welcome and great food. This is a little gem of a place and more like a boutique hotel rather than a travel villa. From the moment we arrived we felt at home. The rooms are large and airy will great A/C and a large bed. There is a small minibar and a large clean bathroom. All rooms face the pool which is a welcome refresh in the hot days. Breakfast is served when you want in the small thatched area and is traditional Pho, or eggs or pancakes and fruit and coffee - plenty to fill you up. The beach is a 15min cycle away and we found a lovely little restaurant, sun loungers and massage on Wild Beach. (20k for a beer; 150k for an hour massage ! Bargain). We took taxis into Hoi An town which you order at reception and the arrive within seconds (about 70k one way) Don't feel you have to go out each night to eat. The dinner menu and food at Areca Villa is really very good, fresh, plentiful and you can eat by the pool if you wish. Highly recommend Areca Villa - you will love it!
