My life motto is "Be Deserving and Be Grateful". I feel I am living my purpose when I am teaching people to be a cowboy or a dancer. To me, the qualities that make a person a COWBOY and /or a DANCER, also make them a strong and yet civilized person. Both activities are also really FUN. My moniker is "Lilly the ballerina cowgirl". To really know who I am , consider in order of importance, my shoes.....bare feet, ballet shoes, cowboy boots & high heels.
I cant live without ; nature, mountains, oceans, people, great restaurants, and theatre and all forms of exercise, especially dance and yoga.
My favorite books are biographies. I need mysteries to put me to sleep ,by Nevada Barr ( who is a park ranger) Dick Francis ( a steeple chase jockey) , and anything by James Michner. I will read anything that strikes my fancy, from scientific history to mans search for meaning.
I like epic movies, my favorites, Lonesome Dove, Gone With the Wind . Im an alternative history buff and love to learn about humans struggle for dignity and liberty. I get hooked on mini series, you couldnt tear me away from, Big Love, Deadwood, In Treatment , Pillars of the Earth and now Vikings!
Folks say I cook well. I've just always had a lot of people to cook for. I dont watch food channels, but read cookbooks like novels. I love the ambiance of restaurants and being waited on. I also love to serve and wait on others.. I wear an apron when I cook , like my grandma. Usually over my jeans or pink tights. I just want ot get the food on the table, but the table must be set beautifully, with good dishes and glassware. I try to experiment, but my style of cooking usually comes back to, what I call " Mostly healthy, semi-gourmet, Okie". ( Okie)
I feel a big hole, in my existence, if I dont have animals living with me. I DO NOT have animals in my house, because they need open space, but they come in on special occasions. Not the horses!
I was a gypsy dancer, for many years, so it took a special place to settle down in. Spring Hill is IT. I like a fabulous place that I can dance and ride and look at the beautiful view, as my base camp. But then I get itchy feet and like to travel. ANYWHERE. I am as excited about being an Airbnb host as I am being a guest.
I believe I am so honored to have our beautiful place, that I want to share it for your stay. Namaste
