Beautiful cabin that is rich in both family and local history. Anita is a gracious hostess with an amazingly clean and gorgeous setup. We highly recommend the Kennedy cabin!

This charming cabin was the perfect getaway from the chaos of the modern world. It's rustic and only 30 minutes from Hocking Hills State Park where there are so many beautiful trails for hiking. The Kennedy Cabin was built with many unique features and you feel as though you're travelling back in time. I fell in love with it from the moment I saw it!

It seems like people bond with the owners and that's why we can't get accurate reviews on AIRBNB. We have used AIRBNB several times and I have noticed that the descriptions are almost always very positive. I'll take the risk here and tell the rest of the story about this property. I do agree mostly with the positive reviews. Best thing about this house is the reasonable cost and the location. House has an abundance of character. HOWEVER. Nowhere in the pictures or description of this house does it tell you that THERE IS NO SHOWER. Only a tub so you have to take a bath or sit in the deep tub and use the shower head attached to a hose to rinse off. SECOND ISSUE: Upstairs bedrooms have 1 toilet only (no sink) and it is in the master bedroom. Second bedroom is there but you need to either walk through the master bedroom to get to the toilet or you have to go downstairs. I'm really sorry to be the bad guy here, but I think it is only fair to disclose this information so you know what you are getting in to with this property. Having said all of the above, we did have a wonderful time in the area and in this cabin! We just had to adjust. That and we only had 3 people staying here.

Response from Anita:
I appreciate the candid feedback as this helps make the customer experience better with Airbnb properties. The Kennedy Cabin property has the claw foot tub in the full bathroom with no shower as it is conducive to how the cabin was originally built. I wanted to keep it authentic. Adding a photo of the claw foot tub to my profile is a good suggestion so thank you for that. Plans for this property in the future are to make the full kitchen available to guests, weekly rental, and possibly adding a shower in the lower level. Thank you again for your input David!
