Takako San is a warm, enthusiastic & easy-going host. She would always be willing to give u a hand or useful advices. It's unforgettable that when we just arrived at the amazing house in a drizzly rain, Takako San surprisingly welcomed us with dry towels, helping us wipe up the clothes & baggages❤️. And later she spent almost an hour introducing the easy bus route to major sights with us, which would be so helpful if u have no prepared~ Besides, Takako's house is just near the main road but with a nice, verdant garden, which means the location is easily to find but quite and comfortable. And it would be a prefect place if u want to experience japanese traditional block. Here a tip, as the location is out of Kyoto urban, the one-day Kyoto bus passing is not applicable for the bus reaching the house from 五条板~u need to have another payment. In all, ITS A NICE CHOOSE!

So nice the host is! Warm welcome, clean house and room, enough space. Takako is more like a lovely grandma to me. Although we speak different language, Takako speaks a little English, it's not hard to understand her. I will miss her and the days in Kyoto!

Takako is amazingly nice and welcoming. Rooms are private and the facilities are nice. Our only tip is that you make and capture the name of the bus you embark from as getting back to it at night, or in difficult weather can be a chore.

The host was very friendly and helpful. Even though they do not speak much English, they would try their best to understand your needs and we still managed to communicate!
