An apartment with a beautiful ocean view in an established resort with pools and restaurant on site. The beach is literally a stone's throw away. Relax to the sound of the waves just a few minutes away from Port Dickson, shopping, and fantastic food.

The space

This apartment belonged to my grandfather but he didn't have much chance to enjoy it. I have just completed some renovations, but I live abroad so I don't get to visit as much as I'd like either. I would like to welcome travellers to relax and enjoy the breathtaking views.

The balcony has a 180 degree across the water and gives just incredible sunsets. You are literally on the beach and have the option to either swim in the warm, tropical waters or the pool in the resort. There is a lovely resort restaurant and bar on site that is open until midnight.

For more local flavour, Port Dickson town is 10 minutes North (turn left exiting the gates) and there are also plenty of shops and restaurants 2 minutes south and right at the roundabout.

Guest access

The whole apartment is yours. There is a holiday kitchen with fridge and microwave. Feel free to try the Oolong tea in the top right cabinet. I am a big lover of Chinese tea and this is one of my favourites.

There are towels and sarongs in the right corner cabinet under the sink. Only use the towels for the bathroom, don’t take them to the beach. Shake the sarongs out downstairs, and you can dry them on the balcony chairs.

There is also a reserved car space available.

Interaction with guests

I live in Melbourne, Australia, but my good friend lives just 1 minute down the road and will be on hand to welcome you and pass you keys.

He's a Port Dickson local so ask him for recommendations!

Other things to note

There is no TV! I know some people find that really hard, but the view is really enough for me. Read a book, have a conversation with your loved ones, or just reflect on the peace and quiet.

There is wifi downstairs at the Coconut Grove, but I have heard from other guests that it is not the fastest, so please don't come expecting to be online all the time.

The views are indeed stunning. The check-in was not as smooth as expected as the previous guests were leaving as we arrived and we were asked to wait to check-in. The cleaner did everything as quickly as possible to have the suite ready for us. The suite kitchen and living room has been remodeled beautifully.

The only thing i felt a little uncomfortable was , a man was following us all the way to the apartment room, and we felt a little uneasy. We only found out he was a friend of yours. After your other started talking to him. Appreciate if there were curtains on the toilet windows. View was great thou.

The Host lives in australia, the odds are you are unlikely to receive any message back right away. In fact, her friends manage the things which is ok, he is a nice man. And yet, you only can see very basic facilities; no shampoo, no wifi, pool is petit enough you can barely tuck your foot into. Previously i booked for 2 nights and i cancelled one night due to disappointment. and she hasn't confirmed my check out date adjustment and never responded yet.

Response from Rebecca:
This guest review shows such an entitled attitude that I am embarrassed for you. My profile description states very clearly that I live in Australia, and you made the booking on the very same day that you wanted to check in. To expect me to message back right away on a Saturday morning is just pushy and rude! I am not a hotel receptionist or a maid! If you wanted such 'service' (which is NOT part of the Airbnb culture), then go ahead and book a hotel! The apartment description also clearly states there is NO WIFI in the apartment. There are also 3 pools, one is 8 x 6 m2, another is 4 x 5m2 and 4m deep, and the third is a toddler splash pool. Maybe you couldn't get out of the toddler pool? The ocean (the great big body of water) is literally right next to the pools so complaining about not having enough room to swim is just ridiculous. I confirmed your check out date adjustment within 12 hours of receiving it. Your reason for this was because their was no wifi, and I felt sorry for you because maybe you can't read English very well and didn't see the description. But your constant repeated messages over and over again (15 emails in less than 24 hours) was bordering on harassment. If I have not checked my email, repeating the same thing 10 times will NOT make me respond faster. Just shockingly rude and entitled.

Very overpriced for what it was. Basic facilities. Improvements needed to make apartment amenities more befitting its price tag or else lower the price tag. Must install wifi. Good sea view.

Rebecca's friend met us. The neighborhood is quite. The apartment is great. The kitchen and toilet sinks are big. There is a microwave we used to reheat food. If you love wearing indoor slippers, just bring your own. If you like barbeque, go to Saujana Beach because it is free and no need to pay RM100. Saujana Beach is 2 kilometers from the apartment. The best thing about this apartment is the balcony is facing to the see and you can watch the sunset everyday!

A nomad at heart, accommodation definitely influences how much I enjoy a particular place. I have backpacked in dorms, crashed on couches, and been put up in luxury resort hotels. But nothing is as relaxing as staying in someone's home. Hotels can be fun but there is something much more personal to living in someone's home and gaining that insight into really local lifestyles. Sharing my apartment makes me feel very connected to other like-minded travellers.

My apartment is small but I love it! It has everything I need and I hope it has all yours too. I enjoy jogging with my dog in the nearby park, yoga, gardening and swimming at the beach. I have travelled a lot with my puppy so I understand how difficult it is to find accommodation with pets. So if you are also an animal lover, feel free to bring your furry family member along! I have food and water dishes available too.

Melbourne will always be my beloved home and I love to show off my city to visitors! Please ask if you'd like recommendations for restaurants, bars, parks or sites to visit for all ages!

My life motto at the moment is "Bite off more than you can chew, and then chew like crazy". Be grateful for a moment and you'll be happy for a day.
