Took the train up from Brooklyn last minute and stayed here with four family members over Labor Day weekend. Ralph, the property owner, picked us up from the Beacon train station as we didn't have a car. He was prompt and even gave us a quick tour of Beacon on the way to the home! The listing photos didn't quite capture how spacious, well maintained and clean the home is. The BBQ works great and the fireplace is fantastic. (We couldn't find a igniter for the BBQ and after texting Ralph, he bought one and brought it over within the hour. Very responsive throughout our entire stay) We ate a few meals outside and even had a couple of conversations with a very nice neighbor. The TV/study is a great place to watch Netflix or play board games after a long day of hiking of hanging in Beacon. The location would have been perfect if we had a car - the property is only 2 miles from downtown Beacon and close to hiking trails. There are two markets walking distance (one is a 24 hour gas station) if you need beer, water or snacks - super convenient. We will definitely stay here again!

Ralph was so nice! So accommodating. Central air was great in heat of summer...wifi was great! We were well taken care of.

The house is well equipped and comfortable. Centrally located--close to the highway, but not too loud. Ralph was a great host. Upon learning that we would be traveling with young children, he immediately inquired if we required baby proofing (we did not, but I have no doubt it would have been provided upon request), and provided a pack 'n play. Check in was very easy, and our host had left coloring books, crayons, and sidewalk chalk for the children to play with. Very pleasant experience overall. One minor quibble: one of the bedroom doors does not close properly.

High Ledge is a wonderful home away from home. The house is high above a fairly quiet street. It is sunny and well maintained. There are 3 generous bedrooms upstairs and a sitting room with a full bath downstairs. The wifi and electronics were trouble free. The large kitchen had enough pots, pans and equipment for our 5 adult children and us to create any sort of meal. Outside is a lovely grill area with plenty of comfortable chairs, a table and an umbrella. When we arrived, the propane tank was low. I let Ralph know, and he was there in a very short time to pick up the tank and refill it. Ralph's service is impeccable. The house is full of necessities like linens, coffee, tea, and fruit. There is off street parking. I can't say for how many cars, but our two really had room to move around in the drive. BTW: if you forgot anything, there are two small gas station/marts right next door, and Ralph's deli is nearby and seems terrific. This was my first Air BNB experience. I'm very (URL HIDDEN) Ralph.

Our stay at High Ledge was wonderful. Since it was close to exit 12 on route 84, it was convenient for our West Point activities, and provided a clean, comfortable respite from our busy schedule. I highly recommend a stay there for your family!

Ralph was a magnificent host. I will surely look to see his home again if I am in the area. It was very close to I-84 and with easy access to a number of spots in the area.

We really enjoyed our stay here! There were some quirks with it being an old house (no matter how we set the thermostat some rooms were signicantly warmer/colder than others and the creaky floors ensured that everyone knew when you got up to use the bathroom at night!) but overall the home was charming and comfortable. We loved the wood-burning fireplace! The kitchen was fairly well-stocked, though it was good we brought our own cookie sheets since we couldn't find any there. We felt like we got a good deal for the price we paid.
