A private cozy cottage on the spectacular Ring of Kerry and Skellig Ring (Lonely Planet Top 10 2017 destinations). Ideally located near the Skellig Islands (of recent Star Wars fame), Portmagee, Valentia Island and Cahersiveen. 2 bedrooms, open fire, all modern appliances. Very high quality furnishings. Take a trip to Skellig Islands, taste the day's local catch, take spectacular walks, enjoy some traditional Irish music with a cool pint of Guiness. A guaranteed great base to explore the area.

The space

A traditional Irish cottage with modern comforts. Warm, cozy, private, and homely. The superior finish to this space make it extremely comfortable for weary travellers. Very clean, comfortable beds with cotton sheets. Fresh, clean towels. 1 bath, 2 showers. We recently upgraded our heating system by moving it outside to address the feedback from our guests.

Guest access

The entire cottage and garden is yours to enjoy. A kitchen with all modern appliances. An open fire with firewood provided. Clean bed linen, private garden, peace and tranquility.

Peter’s cottage was a great base for us to explore Kerry. The cottage was as described, clean and very functional. We didn’t get to meet Peter but his communication was great - he gave us some tips on places to visit and allowed us to check out a little later to work better with our flights. We would all recommend!

The cottage is very well equiped and perfect located. It gives a lot of privacy but it´s only a few minutes to the next supermarked. I can recommend this object for 100%. Thank you Peter for the great time!

We had a great stay. Peter's place is very comfortable and has all you need to get on with your holiday. The scenery is very impressive and you're not far to all the conveniences you'll need. WiFi signal is strong. A really great vacation house. Many thanks Peter.

Thanks Sidonie. We are going to renovate the central heating in September so the cottage should be better for future guests. Safe travels.

We stayed for 5 nights. The house is spacious with 2 bathrooms, the kitchen is somewhat outdated. It's located +/- 4 km from the nearest town. When you look for a quiet place and value for you're money this is the place to be.

An excellent property in an excellent. The reservation process was simple. We did not meet Peter during our stay. The key was left in a secret location and we were left to our own devices. The property is in a great location and we enjoyed the area - in the week we stayed we only left the Skellig Ring once to visit Derrynane - there was so much to do and see in the area. Cahirciveen is the place to stock up on supplies - with a 'corner shop' just 2km away. There are great hikes at Bray and Bolus Heads. The beach at St Finian's is stunning. One must visit Valentia ice-cream and Skellig Chocolate. Kerry Cliffs and Geokaun mountain are must dos. We did not visit the Skellig Island as our kids are too young. The property is exactly as described on the site. It was handed to us in spotless condition. The living space is large with the most amazing comfy sofa. The bedrooms and bathrooms are well appointed with plenty of storage space. We highly recommend Peter's place for a family holiday in the Skellig area.
