The space

Our house was designed by a German architect for a professor at Korea University. You will find a unique fusion of cozy German and Korean architectural feel at our place. I live here with my husband, daughter and son. we feel incredibly lucky to be able to live in this house and hope that our guests will also feel the same.

The guest quarters are on the second floor while my family occupies the first floor. Our goal is to make all of our guests feel as though they are visiting a distant relative in Korea. You will be welcomed into our house as part of the family and we hope that all our guests will feel like family.

Our location in Seoul makes it easy for our guests to reach famous places in Seoul by public transportation ($1 for public transport gets you to GyeongBokGung in 25 mins)

Our proximity to Bukhan Mt. (10 min. walk) and the traditional market makes it the ideal spot for guests who want to experience the nature-friendly side of Seoul in addition to all the busy shopping and nightlife.

There are three guest rooms in total:
1. A single-bed bedroom with an optional bed to accommodate an extra guest (max. 3 persons).
2. A three-bed (one bunk bed,one single bed) bedroom with an optional bed to accommodate one extra guest (max. 4 persons).
3. A four-bed (two bunk beds) bedroom with an optional bed to accommodate one extra guest (max. 5 persons).

I tailor make handmade Hanbok (Korean traditional clothes, shown in the pictures) and if you come to visit us, you are welcome to try them on for yourself!

CJ and his family were very welcoming hosts. They shared a delicious Lunar New Year feast with us and spent a lot of time showing us around and sharing Korean culture and traditions with us. They made us feel right at home in their cozy home.

Host was easy to communicate with, and very accommodating. We arrived early to drop off luggage, got to sneak a peek at the rooms and meet the Host. Came back late at night, and we still were welcomed with no problem and even some snacks! Very hospitable and flexible. Rooms were clean, extremely comfortable, and warm. With only one night stay, it was the perfect place to crash. We'll be back!

The place is clean and quite. The host is friendly and really helpful. They have provided detail transport information and kind reminder. It is a great place to stay and spend the night with fellows. The view is good as well with clean air. All the amenities are great and satisfactory.

B&B Hao is a place just like home. The house is simple yet unique and will give you the feelings of comfort & ease. The family hosts were all very friendly and helpful. We felt their sincere kindness that they assisted us beyond necessary. Especially that time when we went for sauna. That very "new & unique" experience for us became a memorable one because they were with us all through out. Location is also quite pleasant. It might not be in the city area, but transportation became easier with the Host-father teaching us the what's & how's regarding our travel for the day. And he speaks very good English! :) Even the Host-mother is not so much English-speaker, she tried all she can to communicate with us and everything gone well. And she got Hanbok also. So we had funny photoshoot in B&B Hao! :) I would definitely recommend staying in B&B Hao. And will surely be coming back to experience winter there! ;)

Look no further, you've found your ideal place for a Seoul Visit! Her family is so nice, welcoming, and fun! I had a phenomenal experience staying here, you are going to be cared for. The family speaks English, don't worry about the other reviews being in Korean. If you're the type of traveler who likes to interact with the host family and make new friends, you'll have a fun time I guarantee it. Even before I arrived, host contacted me to make sure I knew every leg of the trip from the airport to the house. On my day back, host also kindly offered me a ride to the airport bus pickup location. The neighborhood is on a hill by a mountain, so it is more quiet and serene with fresher air and better view than other places in downtown. The place itself is really cozy with all the amenities you need as a traveler. I often had a friend over at the living room to hang out either alone or together with the host family because the space is so nice and quiet! You'll need to learn how to ride the bus to commute to various places because the subway station hasn't been made yet (will be completed later this year, I hear).

About 경옥

Hi ! My name is Gyoung-Ok and live in Seoul with my husband, daughter,
son and Bori.
Bori is 2 years old dog and lives in her house in the front yard. She maybe hates cats so everyday does her best to put a cat out of her territory.

I was a guest a long time ago.
It is now a host.
I care about what my guests want from the bottom of my heart.
Because they are member of my family, though it is short time.

I love my hometown, which takes 2 hours 30 minutes from Seoul. It has beautiful landscape in 4 seasons. There are hot mineral water and sauna nearby SanJeong lake (which is located in a mountain) in there. In every winter, it opens the sled festival.
If you want to know about real Korean culture and find something special, I recommend you to go out to suburb of Seoul. I can go with you if you want. :) I also recommend jjimjilbang(Korean dry sauna) nearby Bukhansan(Mt.) in case you don't have enough time.

What I want to travel are Laos and Nepal.
I'm looking forward to going there someday.
I will be happy if I'm warmly welcomed there.
So I'll do my best to make you feel warmly welcomed and happy.
