Cozy 2 room (1 bedroom) apartment with a lovely balcony.
Perfect access to public transportation.
Berlin's best neighbourhood.
Loads of bars, shops, markets, etc.
This is a bright and cozy, fully furnished apartment in one of the most popular, colorful, and lively areas of Berlin! Super central.
There are two rooms - one bedroom and a large living room incl. a balcony with a wonderful panorama view - a small bathroom, and a large kitchen.
I have cats that will NOT be in the apt. during your stay, but please note that you should not have any allergies, since there can always be a cat hair or two hiding somewhere. This is also the reason why some of the corners of my walls are damaged. :/
Of course I will try my very best to clean away all evidence of their existence for your stay. :)
You will have the whole flat to yourself during your stay.
Since I am not renting this out professionally, but only while I'm on vacation, please understand that I will not be able to clear all spaces (such as the large closet in my bedroom, or most of the other drawers ...) of personal items. I will empty a cupboard in the bedroom for you to store your clothes in. :)
You are most welcome to use all kitchen appliances, including my wonderful coffee/espresso machine!
However, food in the kitchen cupboards belongs to my personal supplies and I kindly ask that you shop for yourself. You are fully responsible for your own groceries. Lot's of supermarkets nearby! :)
Please don't bring the party home and I ask that you invite no other guests over during your stay. Otherwise you're free to use everything and make yourself feel at home.
Interaction with guests
I'm always there to help (via text, email) and will happily answer any questions and provide restaurant / shopping tipps etc.! Whenever I'm out of town I have a designated friend nearby, as an emergency contact.
Other things to note
I have two very sweet cats. Although they won't be in the apartment during your stay, it is important that you do not have any allergies, since some of their stuff - such as their scratching post - will remain in the apt!
There is hostel next door, so if you have windows and the balcony door open, there can be some noise from the streets. The bedroom however is in the back of the apt. towards the courtyard, so you shouldn't be exposed to noise while sleeping.
Germans are very serious about volume, so it is important to me, that you also make sure to be considerate by keeping music, conversation (especially while out on the balcony), etc. at reasonable levels, in order to avoid noise complaints.
This place is easy going, but we respect each other and our neighbours, so please be just as considerate and clean as you would be in your own home.
Please don't bring the party home and I kindly ask that you invite no other guests over during your stay. Otherwise you're free to use everything and make yourself feel at home.
All kitchen appliances are shared and can be used by you.
However, we shop for ourselves and only use our own stuff. You are fully responsible for your own groceries.
Towels and sheets will be happily provided.
For additional safety, please make sure to always lock the empty apartment (turn the key twice!) when you leave.
It is important that you NEVER leave the key stuck in the lock from the inside of the apartment!
I'm Alisha, a German-American Berliner! With the exception of some months in Santa Monica, CA, I've always lived in Berlin.
Keeping things clean and being considerate are absolute musts.
I also really enjoy fresh and healthy cooking for myself and others and the occasional drink.
I’m very passionate about music and spent several years working in the music industry. Currently a freelance translator for German - English.
I love being outside and being active and social, but I need time to wind down and find peace and quiet as well.
Non smoker, responsible and trustworthy.
