Corrine was a great host, excellent communication throughout. The room is small but perfect size for 2 people, the kitchen has basic equipment to cook meals and the shower is nice and hot! The chalet is located 15 mins to the funicular downhill and 20-25 uphill. I would advise leaving skis in the lockers at the top of the funicular. There is a LIDL nearby (10 min walk). Corinne picked up and dropped us off at the train station which was great as we had big suitcases. She also dropped us off at the funicular on the first day. There is airing space in the bathroom for wet ski clothes which was helpful and the room was always warm. A pleasure to stay with.
This is a not expensive, small place. But it is extermely cozy, and has everything you need -- kitchenette with everything, even oven, large bathroom where it is possible to hang things to dry. Very comfortable bed. Every small things like rubbish bags, washing liquid, etc. is provided. Parking available (car is quite helpful to get around). Extemely nice and friendly hosts! One small warning -- be carefull if you are allergic to cats (probably).
Corinne and Pascal are fantastic hosts! Pascal picked me up at the train station with his car so I didn't have to make the uphill walk to their place with my backpack, and even dropped me off there again at 630am on my last morning. The room was as described (bed, bathroom, table, kitchenette with fridge), but the garden--which I had not anticipated--was the best part for me. I could sit out and there and eat dinner, read a book, or work on my computer. The view from the front door is impressive. They even lent me the key to their garage so I could store my rental bike there. I had a great time here, and highly recommend Corinne's and Pascal's place at Chalet Reinette.
The room was nice and the view from the house almost idyllic. The house is located a bit higher from the town center so if you are not by car, expect a healthy walk up there. The hosts were very friendly. Some of the family speaks good English so no problem communicating with them. As I wasn't there by car, they offered me a ride to the town whenever they themselves needed to go there, which was very nice of them.
