We had the most wonderful stay at Riad Yamina. The riad is an old, traditional building - lovingly and authentically restored by Yamina over a six-year period. We immediately felt surrounded by elegance and a real sense of peace and tranquility - a great respite from the intensity of the Medina. Our rooms were gorgeous - spacious, comfortable and richly decorated with well chosen antiques. The Meyer Suite has a gold theme, stained glass windows filtering the morning light and access to a private roof terrace. Zitouni suite has a private Juliette balcony overlooking the beautifully tiled courtyard, orange trees and plunge pool. All even lovelier than the pictures suggest. Yamina was a warm, kind, thoughtful, entertaining and generous host. Drinks and pastries appeared at our every return to the riad and breakfast was substantial and delicious. We also enjoyed a feast of a dinner on our first evening. The manager of the riad took very good care of us and arranged our tour to the Ouzoud waterfalls and airport transfers. All-in-all we experienced a haven of beautiful surroundings and outstanding hospitality. We will be back!

The most peaceful oasis in the heart of the medina, where you can return from the chaotic sights and sounds of Marrakech to the serenity of birds chirping and mint tea waiting. Yamina was lovely, offering to make me a salad when I arrived which made me feel immediately at home. The location is perfect if you want to get a sense of life in the old town, yet down a quiet street that makes falling asleep no problem at night. The lobby is beyond beautiful and the room was comfortable and private with its own patio that opened up to the stars. The concierge was available to walk me home at night, which was appreciated as the winding medina streets can be dark and confusing when walking alone at night. This riad really made my trip special; I didn't want to leave!

Overall, we were happy with our stay at Riad Yamina. When we first arrived, we were quite disappointed about the plastic covering the entire courtyard, which obstructed the view from our room and terrace on the top floor of the building. However, we learned that this is apparently the usual practice during winter (until April) in Marrakech. The room was nice and sufficiently heated. Everything was very clean. The staff was extremely friendly and flexible. They arranged airport transport and a one day trip to the Atlas Mountains, which we highly recommend, in particular Imlil. Breakfast was served whenever we preferred, at our private terrace or in the courtyard. It was simple and good. We had dinner at the riad 3 times, all those times were amazing and good value. The riad is situated very close to the main square in a busy medina area, close to everything.

Such a great stay at Yamina's! The photos do not do justice to how stunning it is. And the location is fantastic. The whole team were so lovely and welcoming, and looked after my husband so well when he was briefly unwell. I highly recommend.

Riad Yamina is a lovely and tranquil oasis in the middle of the Medina. Great location making it a convenient place to come back an rest during the day. We asked for transfer from the airport which was waiting for us when we arrived and then we were met by Moha at the edge of the Medina who guided us to the Riad. This was perfect and an good introduction to the city. Overall a great place to stay and we'd definitely return. Thank you!

We had unforgettable Moroccan experience. We enjoyed to walk tiny streets where you can see how talented are people there. They do a lot of beautiful handcrafts. And for the full experience we were looking for real place to stay close to local people and we found riad Yamina. They are very warm and welcome people. They treat us like we are prince and princes. We had breakfast and dinner almost in the bad.) Thank you Yamina for your hospitality!!!
