The space

Lilikoi cottage is a light and airy 2 bedroom home. It is 1 1/2 blocks from Kailua Beach .
The cottage has a private entry and a private garden patio area.
The Living room had a beachy feel and is bright and airy. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking. It has pot, pans, cutting boards, utensils, etc... We try to keep some staples for you ie: salt, pepper, some spices, sugar, cooking oils, mayonnaise, mustard, and ketchup.
The back patio has an outside dining table and a gas grill.
The cottage has TV, WiFi, and books for you to enjoy.
It also has its own washer and dryer.
The master bedroom has a comfortable queen sized bed with soft linens. The room is bright and airy with a sliding glass door to the back patio and an a/c unit for the occasional hot and sticky night.
The second bedroom has two twin beds with soft linens and is accessed off of the cottage's living room. The twin room also has an A/C unit for keep you comfortable while you sleep.

Kailua Beach is a 3 mile stretch of beautiful sandy beach. There are small waves that are a blast to play in for all ages. We provide boogie boards, beach chairs, snorkeling equipment and bikes. We also have surfboards for those who are so inclined. The Cottage is fully equipped for your short or long stay on Oahu so feel free to pack light.

Kailua is a quiet neighborhood with a great town center. We are about a mile from the center of Kailua town. Kailua hosts great shopping and great places to eat. We have 2 farmer's markets on Thursday and one on Sunday morning. They are a great place to try local treats.

We hope that you choose to vacation in beautiful Kailua, it is a world away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki!

We absolutely loved our stay. The Cottage and the house are set up with everything you could need or want. The location is fantastic and it takes no time to get to the beach. The bikes and beach toys add to the holiday. We travelled from NZ and arrived to fruit, juice and nib…

This little Kailua cottage is 2 blocks from a beach access point - not too far to lug beach chairs and coolers to one of the nicest beaches on Oahu. since it was hot when we stayed we appreciated the ceiling fans and AC units in the bedrooms.

Response from Katherine:
In Response to Marc's review I would like to say a few things: 1) Marc and his family arrived at the cottage at 2:30pm and check in time is 3:00pm. The Cottage was not ready as you stated. I was finishing up vacuuming the living room floor and still needed to make the bed, as well as other last minute touches. 2) As for the refrigerator leaking; when you brought this to my attention I told you that I was aware of the leak and that we are renovating the kitchen in April which included replacing all of the appliances. 3) As for the centipede I apologize but unfortunately they are part of living in the tropics. I have never seen a centipede inside the cottage before. As I stated in our earlier correspondence, I cannot reimburse you the airbnb fees that I do not receive. As for the cleaning fee, even though you only stayed one night, the entire cottage and all of the linens still need to be cleaned before the next guest arrives. When I explained the break down of my refund you instantly threatened to write me a bad review if I did not refund you $35 in airbnb fees as well as the entire $100 cleaning fee. As per the airbnb community host and guest standards, this type of threat is considered extortion. This platform is built on trust and honest reviews by both hosts and guests, I felt it necessary to inform airbnb of your threat to leave a poor review if I did not compensate you the additional $135. I had already refunded you $1074.85 . I phoned airbnb and spoke with them directly, they instructed me to flag our conversation and stated that I have given you an ample refund especially since you agreed to my moderate cancellation policy. I would have been completely within my rights to only give you a refund of $447.50. This information is taken directly from their website about the compensation guests should expect with a Moderate Cancellation Policy: "Moderate Cancellation Policy: Full refund 5 days prior to arrival, except fees" "If the guest arrives and decides to leave early, 50% of the accommodation fees for the nights not spent 24 hours after the cancellation occurs are refunded." Aloha, Katherine

Katherine's place is in between the marsh and the beach. We often went to each. Nice neighborhood and near to town (and the farmer's markets!).
