So, Cecil and her mother are great host. So do not get my review confused with me talking about character... however... the location of this Airbnb was horrible. I told my friend who is from Harlem that I was staying in East New York. He told me good luck... that's THE worst neighborhood in New York. Which I can see.. it's scary at night.. God bless you if you decide to go out.. walk back from the train.. any of that... the train is the next block over which was convenient but again it's not a safe area. We literally caught an Uber to the train station... as far as quality of the Airbnb you literally get what you see in the picture. The bed was very squeaky and uncomfortable there was also this smell by the bathroom and closet which seem to not go away. My friend and I are recent graduates who decided to stay here. Terrible idea. It is also far away from everything. About a 45 train ride to Times Square and 1.5 hour to Harlem just to put things in prospective. If you have somewhere else to stay before this Airbnb I would definitely choose the other location. Do not penny pinch when it comes to safety because all it takes is one time... however the host were great people.. I just wanted to leave my honest opinion on the stay I would absolutely not do it again & shouldn't have chose this place in the first place. It was not a pleasurable stay. Sorry, I don't mean to mean but I just want to be honest about the stay.

The location is good. Not far away from subway station. The room is great. Private for our family. Cecile is very helpful. Thank you so much.

Cecile is a very friendly host and was very flexible in accommodating few last minute requests that we had. The place was nice and comfortable, albeit being a little far away from the city.

The place was nice. It was a little far from Times Square (about a 50 min train ride). The host accomadated me upon my arrival and was very understanding. The neighborhood was a bit sketchy at night so we tried not to go out at night so much. Overall it was a great place!

We had a good stay! The only complaint for me is that the beds were uncomfortable. It also took us over am hour to get to Manhattan. But it was fine for the price.

The stay in Cecile's house was great, the appartement was clean and we were also allowed to check out later so we could go to the city center the last day without our baggage - we appreciate it a lot! Thanks for everything!

About Cecile

I enjoy travelling when I am not busy occupied in Corporate America. When i travel i prefer to be within the community where i can actually experience the real livelihood of the people. I like to ensure that people around me are comfortable. I was born and raised in South America and enjoy all types of food but mostly spicy food.
