Great location and wonderful house. There is no Wi-Fi and no phone signal so you are really out in the wood. We were pretty bummed when we checked in but this was a blessing in disguise. No access to phone ensured that 6 of us were 100% involved with each other while chatting, playing games, drinking and enjoying. I have to admit that at the end of the stay, all of us were really glad that there was no wifi. The fireplace is amazing and the views are spectacular.

This cabin, David, and Carolyn are simply fantastic. The cabin is exactly as described, with a ton of space and breathtaking views. In particular, the views from the balconies are of the half of the valley that stays snowy for much longer given its orientation away form the sun, so you really feel like you're in the Rockies! I've stayed in this valley several times and the view from this cabin is the best, by far. The fireplace is amazing, situated in a living room with tons of windows so that the views are accessible from everywhere, which is fantastic. We spent our days reading with the fire crackling in our periphery and the snow-covered mountains seemingly surrounding us and we couldn't have asked for a more relaxing time. As hosts, David and Carolyn are incredible. We arrived late Friday night to a power outage (the whole village was out due to some downed trees, as we happened to go during one of the biggest storms in Los Angeles in a couple decades). No light and no heat, all while it was freezing and snowing. Thankfully, we were able to call the hosts on and off throughout the night, as they walked us through how to get the generator going, where we could find lanterns and extra blankets, and they even offered to drive out and meet us to help get things situated! The latter didn't end up being necessary but knowing that they were available for us during this somewhat extreme situation was extremely comforting and we couldn't be more thankful to them for that. Because of them our power outage experience turned into a fun story that we'll remember forever (for positive reasons) as opposed to a night testing our survival skills. The power came back on and the rest of our stay was great. Literally no complaints. They left a bottle of wine for us upon our arrival (which took us a while to find due to the lack of light when we arrived) and we had a weekend of reading, napping, drinking wine, walking, view appreciating, and La Leña eating! Couldn't have asked for anything more!

We had a great getaway in this cabin. Carolyn provided us with enough firewood for our stay. The heating was necessary and in working condition. The cabin is listed as having two rooms, but it was very spacious and has comfortable beds. The views of the valley are amazing. We had fun sledding on the driveway and just taking in the beautiful scenery and clean air. We would love to stay here again sometime.

My group and I had an amazing Christmas weekend in Carolyn and John's home! Everything was exactly as advertised, we were provided with firewood, amazing views and even a bottle of wine! The beds were comfortable, the house warm, there was enough room for everyone and the guidebook provided enough information on the surrounding area, hikes, leisure activities and how to open the house, turn on the water and heat. Carolyn was very communicative, especially when it snowed, to guide us on how to deal with snowplows, parking and the water when it was below freezing. I would definitely recommend this and will hopefully book it again in the future.

A few friends and I stayed in Carolyns cabin for thanksgiving weekend and it was easily the best time we've all had. The view alone off the back porch is amazing and the cabin is extremely cozy. All the pictures are accurate and Carolyn was a great host, never hesitating to answer any of my questions. We are definitely coming back.

This really is the most beautiful view home! Not only was the scenery exceptional, but Carolyn and David went out of their way to make my stay even more special by providing firewood for a cozy fire and a lovely bottle of wine upon my arrival! Thank you so much for a wonderful experience... super nice people!
