As a full time artist I live and work from this place. Very close to the Tararua Forest Park with great tramping and NZ highest swing bridge. Great swimming holes. I share this very quiet place with my dog, cat, some chickens, and my two children.

This was my second time at the tree house. Great location, lovely spot to chill out and discover Wairarapa's beauty. Niko is a very welcoming host, you'll feel at home :)

Niko was a very friendly and hospitable host. Quick to communicate, easy-going with all the guests arriving at different times, and a lovely quiet country spot. Fred (the dog) was also very friendly. Highly recommend earplugs if you'd find the dawn chorus of animal noises disturb…

Sure, in the country we have unusual rural noises such as neighbours rooster, frustrated bulls, and in clear winter nights awesome sound from the deer farm in the distance travels across the plains. Thats all part of the experience, at times its so quiet you can hear the river, and hey it not an airport :-)

Had a short but lovely stay in Niko's tree hut. It was peaceful and comfortable, would definitely recommend to anyone looking for some peace and quiet just outside of Wellington!
