My home is located in Woodstock, a heritage area and one of the trendiest, most vibrant and multicultural communities in Cape Town. The house is walking distance from popular Old Biscuit Mill, restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, bars, a supermarket and more. It is also a 10min drive to the city centre. This spacious and neat room is 1 of 3 - I use one when I am in town. My space is great for solo travellers, couples, students and friends or anybody that is sociable, easy going and tidy!

The space

My home is a traditional Woodstock cottage and boasts 3 large bedrooms with lockable doors and plenty of storage space. The shared spaces include the living room, kitchen, courtyard and bathroom - all of which is serviced by a cleaner twice a week.

The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, bakeware, dishes, utensils and glasses, as well as, a microwave, fridge and stove/oven.

The bathroom is standard, but has a large shower and is also where the blowdryer is stored.

Off-street parking is located at the front of the house between the main gate and front door.

Guest access

Guests can access the room that they booked as well as the general areas of the house - living room, kitchen, courtyard and bathroom.

There is also off-street parking for 2 cars in the front of the house.

Interaction with guests

My friend and trusty manager Thandie will be available to answer any questions you might have.

I had the pleasure of staying in Woodstock for 7 weeks while working in Cape Town, and I had a great time! The whole apartment was clean, to every small problem Lerato reacted very fast and security was not a real issue in the neighborhood. The apartment is ideally located to explore the city, shopping facilities are nearby (old biscuit mill!), but best of all were Leratos hosting skills, she and her friends made me feel very much at home in the wonderful city of Cape Town I highly recommend this place!

Lerato's place is nice, great for a short cost-effective trip. The surrounding area does leave a lot to be desired, I never had any problems but it's not the safest to be walking around, especially after dark. Half way into my stay the pots and pans were replaced with lower quality pots that weren't the best to cook with, hopefully these will be returned or improved. Unfortunately I never met any of the hosts, however with any misunderstanding Thandie was helpful with resolving.

I enjoyed my time at Lerato's place. Though the house has 3 bedrooms, the other 2 rooms were not occupied, which means I had the entire space to myself. The Internet speed is also great. And it was a short Uber ride to Cape Town city. Her manager Thandie was also helpful and quick to respond.

The host are very nice and answered all of my questions in a timely manner. The location is not too far from Cape Town center at all (uber cost around $3-$5 to get to most places). There is a grocery store right on the corner, which was super convenient and a nice wine shop near by (for the wine drinkers). The stay itself could have been better. The front door or gate did not work so I spent some time getting in and out of the house, which became a little frustrating after a while. The good thing is it was getting fixed when I was checking out so it will be better for future clients :). Also, the main sliding gate is really heavy so just make sure your strength is in tact before you attempt to push the gate open. My bedroom door did not close all the way or lock, which slightly took away from my privacy (and the blinds were broken so that added to it). There's also a cute outdoorsy area where you can relax, sip wine, and read. I stayed there with another client who was a really sweet girl. Overall, my stay was good. The hosts are really sweet. With a little cleaning and repairs of all of the doors, I think it will make a great stay. This is a good place to stay if you are not planning on spending too much time in doors, which you shouldn't because Cape Town is beautiful! :) :)

Response from Lerato:
Hi Khadijah! Thanks so much for your review! We really appreciate the feedback. Just to address your concerns - the handyman you saw fixing the front door handle also tended to the bedroom door, so both are fully operational now - the bedroom door does close and lock. We're also in the process of replacing the blinds with curtains. (",)

We stayed at Lerato's place for 5 days and overall we had a very good time. The size of the apartment is great and the apartment is clean and well equipped. It also is not too far away from the City Centre and its sights. The location where the apartment is located is maybe not the most secure area to walk around during nighttime. We didn't meet Lerato personally because of her job but we got to meet her organizer Thandy who was super friendly, funny and helpful and even took us out to a roof top bar.

Lerato and Thandie were lovely hosts. The apartment is centrally located to discover upcoming Woodstock and to go out to the city center at night!

I am a great lover of Airbnb when I travel, and so I'm really looking forward to being a host and meeting people from everywhere to introduce them to my favourite place in the world, South Africa (aka Mzansi)!
I love food, music, wine, interesting spaces and good company.
