Wonderful apartment, stylish, spotless and well stocked. Even prettier than the photos. She has made this space so beautiful with her art and collection. We experienced construction which was loud and unexpected but it wasn’t Diane’s fault. Hopefully the next people who stay won’t encounter the sound. The apartment had so much to offer with the beautiful balcony, a bottle of wine, coffee in her cucina and more. Would highly recommend but take note it’s by the bar so noise at some times may be an issue. If ok with that, it’s the best!

An absolutely beautiful apartment in an interesting town. A genuine taste of Sicily, away from crowded tourist places but convenient to many sites. (we stayed there before visiting Agrigento) The kitchen is gorgeous and we were sad not to eat in it as we arrived late and went to a lovely local place for dinner. The bathroom is modern and beautiful. The whole apartment is tasteful and welcoming. I wish we could have stayed longer. Joey welcomed us with fantastic hospitality and suggestions about where to park, which roads to take to avoid some of the stress of driving in Sicily for the first time etc...He was super friendly and recommended lots of great things from the restaurant we ate dinner in to local cheese and sites to visit. Diane's apartment is an absolute pleasure in every way. Totally recommend.

We were pleasantly surprised by this apartment the pictures don't do it justice. There is a mix of modern and traditional Sicilian furniture which is a nice touch if you are seeking the authentic feel. We rented the whole apartment. The rooms are very large, the kitchen/living room has a slopping roof, but not a problem. We stayed (family of 4) for 2 weeks comfortably. My 2 teenage kids loved the smart TVS and Wifi. The bathrooms are fabulous, large, modern with plenty of hot water and the aircon worked a treat. We arrived in the beginning of June unknowingly realising there was to be a festival while we were staying. This was great and awesome to watch and be a part of, but on the downside the noise level was high. The apartment is at the centre of the town and next to the main bar where everything takes place. The buzz is great being part of the real Sicilian people but boy they are loud!! and love to party into the early hours at the weekends. Be prepared, bring earplugs if you like to sleep, it you want to join in you will have a ball! there is a beautiful roof terrace that we just loved and spent most evening watching everything go by with a bottle of wine. You can even watch the band and entertainment from the bar. There is also a lovely wrap around balcony from one bedroom and a smaller balcony from the bedroom, all great for people watching. There are 4 restaurants in Cianciana, 3 are walkable approx 10 mins. The best was the Cortile Alykos which is a hidden gem with a castle like interior, outside terraces and to die for food. This is more than a pizzeria. There is a supermarket 2 mins walk and you can even see if its open from the balcony, it sells everything you will need including their mouthwatering fresh bread everyday and a large selection of cheese and ham. The apartment has a gas barbecue on the roof terrace but we did not use it. There is parking around the apartment but it is a bit of a fight for a place, if there is not a space you can park in any of the other roads! We drove on numerous occasions to a beach called Heracla minoa it is about a 20 min trip through stunning scenery and the restaurant there is a dream and all the fish you can eat!! All in all this apartment is well recommend and we would gladly stay there again. Diane's son Joey greeted us when we arrived and was around if we needed him for anything. He was very pleasant and helpful. Hope to see you again!

Diane made my family and I feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The listing was as described, very clean and modern with everything you might need during your stay and more. The location was great in close proximity to the piazza and main bars and shops. The main living are benefits from soundproofing ensuring you can get away from the music in the nearest bar if desired. Great views from the roof terrace and wrap around balcony which is lovely to sit out on if you wish to soak up the sun, and air conditioned rooms if the heat gets too much. Diane and her son were great hosts who were happy to help in any way. Thank you

What a lovely experience we had staying in Diane's home. We stayed for 3 nights as a family of 3. The apartment is fully renovated with a modern design. Rooms are all very large & airy with great views of the clock tower. The kitchen was well equipped & easy to use. Diane left us tea & coffee to use as we pleased which was a lovely touch. There was a bottle of wine in the fridge... but not sure if it was for us! The bedroom had 2 single beds which were very comfy. Plenty of blankets to keep us warm :) tho the air con did a great job. Diane also provided a porta cot for our 9 month old daughter. The bathroom is very modern with a great shower (excellent water pressure). No bath but that wasn't a problem for us. The town is very lively and the bar is close by. The noise did travel but didn't prove a problem for us or our baby. I would highly recommend staying at this apartment. The views, the comfort of the beds, the shower pressure & the great hostess make it a place I would stay again. Thank you for having us.

Originally from Boston and I have relocated to Cianciana Sicily Italy. I love islands and have lived in the Bahamas and Nantucket. I enjoy traveling, good wine, food, reading, films, art, music, yoga and meditation. I fell in love with Sicilian architecture and landscape...the museums, temples, markets..living in the Mediterranean seems to have it all
