The house lies at the edge of a small village called Skamnaki, only ten kilometers west from Githion, in the area of the southern east part of Peloponnese. Is only 45 minutes from the historical city of Sparta and 3hours and 15 minutes from Athens.

The space

The area of Mani is very famous, among other things, for its traditional stone villages. Skamnaki is one of those.

Interaction with guests

In the case of my absence there are two neighbors always very friendly and willing to assist you.

Other things to note

The master bedroom has a double bed, in the living room the sofa can be very easily converted into a comfortable single bed and in the attic you will find the second double bed.

This is a really exceptional home and one of our favorite Airbnb experiences. Skamnaki was a great place to stay, with good daytrip access to places like Mystras or elsewhere in the Mani and also a delight unto itself, away from tourism and up in an ideal spot for great views from the balcony and quiet, peaceful nights. The house is delightful, with all sorts of facilities and elegant touches of design. The bedroom in particular is exceptionally cool and cozy even after hot summer days. Manos and his family were very friendly and welcoming as well. Be aware that the streets in Skamnaki are fairly narrow and, depending on the size of your car, will be their own adventure-- but the same goes for small villages all over Greece, and it's absolutely part of the charm.

We stayed with our family with 2 kids at the stone house. We liked the magnific views from the terras and the original way Manos re-decorated this ancient house.

Manos' house is just lovely. Quite. Very nicely decorated with greatest taste. It has all kinds of equipment. Nothing is missing. The view is breathtaking ! And the fridge was nicely stuffed with some fresh beers too. Just about 15 min by car from beaches. The village is very typical and has a tavern which can come handy. We highly recommend !

Very beautiful house, located in quite and nice village. The view from the balcony is amazing! The House is very well equipped with everything you need. Manos was very nice, sent us detailed instructions how to get to the house and even arranged a quite late arrival for us. I would love to come back!!!

A wonderful place to get away from it all with beautiful scenery. A great base for day trips to Mystras or Monemvasia. Rural and authentic Greece. Great overall!

A beautiful house in a great location. As an interior designer myself I appreciated all the touches Manos added to the house. It's traditional wall on the downstairs bedroom was amazing and well as the lighting fixtures in the bathroom and dining area. The place was almost fully stocked with an array of things for the kitchen/cooking and i even found a new toothbrush waiting for me as I had forgotten mine! The staircases need a bit of awareness as the are traditionally narrow. All in all this is a place that a couple of family can stay for many days without any issue. The most important point of the stay was the balcony. The peace and quiet and stunning view were the most enjoyable part of the house. The surrounding area of Peloponnesus is full of interesting things to visit. Do not miss the sunset at the cafe restaurant Telonion at Limeni seaside village. Half an hour away or so. Would gladly return with my son next time!

I’m an easy going person, full of interests, who appreciates good moments in life. As an artist I like to express myself through art such as painting and sculpture, so my vision of things passes through an artistic way! I like to create by being inspired even from small and insignificant things. One of my characteristics is that I put the accent on the details and I always seek perfection. I’m proud of my family and I have three wonderful children! Sorry, I almost forgot to mention my dog!
