We loved staying in your terrific home, Jayne! Your fabulous collection of Mexican arts and crafts and your portrait photos of Mexican people set the tone for our stay in beautiful San Miguel de Allende. Your home is very comfortable and the super thick walls maintain an even ind…

What wonderful guests. I only regret that I could not greet you personally when you arrived. It seems that you made your way around San Miguel as if you were residents. I am pleased that you enjoyed your art classes. The tip that you left for the maid was very much appreciated. Please return again soon. You are the type of guests who make an Airbnb host very happy.

Jayne’s place really has it all - so beautifully and artfully decorated, private, with a bedroom away from street noise. Very comfortable bed, several rooms to enjoy and the great view from the roof. The courtyard garden is so inviting with lots of lush plants. Jayne shared a rea…

This is a top-notch apartment in San Miguel de Allende. It really should be called the Artist's Residence since Jayne has decorated it in such a lively and thoughtful manner (with lots of her own photos and artwork). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment is just about th…

Jayne's place is an absolute gem. We were so fortunate to score her apartment, which is centrally located and well appointed with beautiful arts and crafts. (If what I think was Jayne's art was also on the wall, it was also beautiful.) The apartment is spacious and has all the th…

I've used Airbnb all over the world and the reason I continue to use it over hotels are hosts like Jayne. From the moment we arrived at SMDA she made us feel at home. She took the time to tell us all of her favorite spots and places she thought we might like -- she even took us o…

Jayne is lovely and her apartment is very well located but it is not for everyone. On a very busy street with trucks, buses etc so extremely noisy even by San Miguel standards. Apartment is crammed with art, objects, furniture , so while interesting it was hard for us to naviga…

I was not surprised by your review. Your multiple complaints and attitude led me to believe that you were expecting a 5 star hotel. I display accurate photographs of each room on my rental site. The items that I collect are usually admired by my guests but one must appreciate a typical hacienda style home rather than a modern and spartan environment. One also must also like Mexican folk-art and realize that a home built in the 1700's is not a modern hotel. As you may gather from previous reviews, you are the only guest who has ever complained about "dust and noise". The apartment was thoroughly cleaned prior to your occupation and I checked all the rooms myself. My maid has been consistently praised for her efficiency and thoroughness. I have a property manager and I left you with his number. I stated that he should be contacted for any issue that affects your comfort. Instead, you were frustrated when you attempted to contact me on your Canadian phone instead of calling my manager. You stated that you were "Having to make do" with a pan for boiling water and requested a teapot. You stated that you were also frustrated by a toilet which was running. You did not call the manager for this issue but continued to tolerate the inconvenience. The water spout could have been repaired by the manager, but you chose to take a taxi to a department store and search for a spout (Website hidden by Airbnb) neighbor requested that you be asked to not relax in the common terrace area while wearing just your underwear. In summation, I have had excellent guests who have enjoyed their stay for as long as two months. I have had excellent reviews. May I suggest that you rent a splendid, high- end home for much more money in the future. I feel that your stated inconveniences would be better addressed by the staff of a 5 star hotel that would be able to meet your expectations. Thank you for your observations. My apartment is certainly not for anyone who wants a modern and sterile environment in the classic center of San Miguel de Allende.
