Great homely hostel near the city centre with friendly staff. However walk back from the main square is a little scary at night due to the lack of adequate street lamps. However the hostel assured me that Bucharest is quite safe as a city!

It's a extraordinary hostel enjoying a great location (5-10min from the subway station on foot). The room for 8 people is spacious and clean as well as the washroom. I'd like to highly recommend this place. Many thanks to Daniel and Jack.

Doors hostel is a good place to spend a few days if you visit bucharest. My arrival was very late and the attention was great at all times. Very friendly and helpful staff, they helped me in everything I needed. The best thing to do when you get tired of all day visiting the city, is the tea room, where you can relax listening to music, meeting people, and enjoying a great variety of tea. Thank you very much for everything and if I return to Bucharest, I will go there.

It was really really nice at the hostel. Quiet, artful rooms, comfortable, clean and closed to the inner city. Cosy place with wonderful and helpful people for every request! If I come back to Bucharest one day, I would choose this hostel again and of course recommend it to all of my friends.

Podstel User ProfilePodstel is a superhost.

The most colorful hostel in Bucharest is here to welcome you in a chilled out, free spirited place, where people come together and enjoy the Romanian experience. We are the only hostel with a huge garden and an outdoor area filled with cushions, hammocks, art and a lot of good humor.

This is a place where art comes together, where we sing and dance, we laugh at life and enjoy its experiences. All weekends we host art performances, so if you're an artist feel free to express your art on the Doors Hostel stage or garden, of course a few nights will be on the house. Follow us on to see the weekly shows or exhibitions.

Sightseeing, shopping, clubbing or chilling out , no matter what your favorites are , Doors Hostel is ideally located to make your thoughts happen.

All of your preferred targets are within easy reach as our hostel lies centrally and close to the most important sites and clubs in Bucharest.

We're in an oasis of quiet in the old part of town, where you can glance at the stylish architecture of the 19th century and some of the most beautiful churches in Europe.

In addition the many shops, restaurants and bars just five minutes away, nearby attractions include: The House of Parliament (the second biggest building in the world), The National Museum of Contemporary Art,The Old Princely Court and we're only two minutes away from the hippest club in town, Fabrica Club, an old factory remodeled for youngish attitudes.

Walking ten minutes north you get to the historical center, home to many art galleries, antique shops and coffeehouses. On a beautiful day, you can stroll down the narrow cobblestone streets and imagine the shopkeepers outside near their stores, encouraging people to buy their merchandise and negotiating prices with them.

A two-minute walk gets you to Carol Park which is one of the most beautiful in the city and contains a massive monument, as well as the eternal flame that marks the grave of the Unknown Soldier and offers pleasant walks down tree-lined paths, a good view of central Bucharest (from the monument) and plenty of photo opportunities. In summertime, the park's Arenele Romane is the stage for open-air concerts.

For the night-owls among you, Bucharest offers a big variety of clubs, cafes and pubs which are equally just within easy reach. We also have a charming garden , a perfect place to chill out and enjoy the international atmosphere of people coming together from all around the world.

Our international young and friendly staff will help you have the best time in Bucharest guiding you through the Romanian culture, giving you the best info, providing Bucharest Tours, and entertaining you throughout your stay and lets not forget offering you palinca shots! On the house !

We speak English, Spanish, Dutch, German, Serbian and French and Romanian :D and we're looking forward to your stay!

And more we are open around the clock.
