About this listing

Beautiful light double bedroom in my gorgeous home in West London. Looking out over the garden to Acton Park, Acacia House is tucked away off the Uxbridge Road. Easy access to Central London. Free off road parking sometimes available.

The space

Large cosy double guest bedroom (double or twin beds on request with comfortable mattresses and high quality bed linen) with your own bathroom with full size bath and shower just across the landing. Wifi. There is a chest of drawers and a wardrobe in the bedroom. Centrally heated. Detached town house in quiet safe street next to lovely park. There is a beautiful garden and views into the park beyond so the house is very peaceful.
I have two further double bedrooms which share a bathroom on the top floor which I would be happy to rent out depending how many of the family are staying.

Easy access to Central London. Bus stop 1 minute walk from the house. The overground railway line is a 4 minute walk across the park. Heathrow airport 30 minutes by taxi (£25) or by tube from Acton Town. Chiswick is a walk away and if you like shopping Westfield Shopping Centre at Shepherds Bush is a 10 minute bus ride away.

Guest access

Access is through the front door at the top of the steps. You will be given keys on arrival and can come and go independently. I am very easy going, and often busy or out myself. I use the basement door.

Interaction with guests

I am always happy to help with any questions and requests and you can call anytime. I love where I live and would be delighted to give you any advice during your stay. The check in time is 4pm and check out is 10am. During the day I presume most people will be out visiting London. There are some lovely restaurants and cafes across the park. No meals in the kitchen without prior agreement.

Other things to note

We have two very lovely dogs, all very over friendly and not usually allowed upstairs.

Quick and easy access to Central London and the City.
Great shopping nearby at Westfield, the largest shopping mall in Europe.
Close to Chiswick, Holland Park, Notting Hill, Shepherds Bush.
Near to Hammersmith Hospital, Central Middlesex Hospital and Ealing Hospital.
Easy access to Richmond and the lovely gardens at Kew
Easy to Wembley Stadium.

Facinating house in Central London. Situated at the end of a small cul-de-sac in the beautiful and peaceful Acton Park. The beds are very comfortable but don't expect 5-star luxury. The character of the house, the views, and the position more than make up for a little tired paintwork. By the way - in our opinion, Lucy has great taste in paintings!

We enjoyed our stay at Lucy's place. We were looking for something nice and peaceful, to do some sightseeing but also to rest. It's well situated, near Acton park. Every morning we were waking up by birds !! Very close to bus line or London overground (around 45 min to go to Westminster). The room is lovely, quiet and properly equipped. Tea, coffee, kettle and cookies welcome you every morning. Lucy is nice and helpful, very good communication. We arrived late, but it wasn't a problem. I definitely recommend this place!

Another fantastic Airbnb experience! The view from the window was magical, and knowing we were in a grand house surrounded by a park was sweet! Lucy was very kind and charming. My aunt and I stayed two nights to spend a full day in London, followed by the day at Kew Gardens before heading back to Manchester. It was perfect for us. It was neat to see a couple of London's wild parrots hanging out on a tree outside the window! And the beds were so cosy you could just sink right in and snuggle under the duvets! This experience was another reason why airbnb is such a gift, and a little adventure itself, supporting an adventure into london. There's a bus right outside that takes you to the Tube (the underground), but we just walked there and back as weather permitted, bought a day pass, and toured London quite extensively! Thanks, Lucy, for helping make a wonderful experience!

We stayed for 6 nights and it was wonderful. Lucy is a very nice host and took good care of us. Lovely house, good location which is just a minute to the nearest bus stop! Buses take you from home to Shepherd's Bush, South Kensington or Hammersmith which literally get you everywhere in London. Cozy interior decoration and lovely dogs! We love the garden and it was such a nice view from the room.

Our stay at "An oasis in West London" was superb. Lucy is a fantastic host and the accommodations were better than advertised. She goes above and beyond your expectations to help you in any way so you can enjoy your London experience. The neighborhood is great with plenty of cafe's and restaurants. Acton Park is beautiful and a great way to burn off some "fish and chips" with a long walk or run. Very easy to get around London as the bus stop is extremely close and a short distance to two major stations to catch the tube. I highly recommend this location and I hope the room is available next time I travel to London.
