The farm house is perfect for a large group (our group was smaller than expected, so we had plenty of room to spread out). There are tons of different dining/entertaining spaces both inside and out. The house is fully updated with all modern amenities but it still retains its historic charm. The location is perfect as a base camp for activities throughout the Brandywine Valley - convenient to hiking, wineries, outdoor festivals, antiquing, etc. The setting is also beautiful - surrounded by farmland with only a few neighbors and plenty of privacy. I can't recommend this place highly enough - we had a fantastic time and can't wait to come back the next time we're in the area!

Great house for a large group. The dining and outdoor spaces are great for large group meals and outdoor gatherings. The location is beautiful and quiet. The house is well appointed with the basics. The hosts were very easy to contact and responsive. The interior stairs are steep and may provide a challenge for some, but there is a railing.

Lovely house in the middle of wooded rolling hills, valleys and small horse farms about 45 minutes from Philadelphia. Beautiful back yard. The house was very well maintained and the kitchen was perfectly adequate to prepare meals for our party of 9. I would highly recommend this place.

We had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend at Jolley's house. The house is very well-equipped with everything you need and felt very homey with lots of books and cool art. Jolley's son Andrew helped us check in and made sure we were all set. The house has beautiful landscaping and a playground that our 3-year old enjoyed. There was plenty of room for 6 adults and 3 young children to spread out with room to spare. The upstairs loft was separated by a door and had room for an entire family of four to fit (maybe more). The house didn't have great cell phone reception but that wasn't a problem for us. We wish we had more time to explore the area, which looked like it had lots of attractions, but we did enjoy getting fresh strawberries, rhubarb, pies and apple cider donuts at Highland Orchards nearby.

This is an absolutely charming, family friendly house. I can't stress enough just how pleasant it was to stay here with 8 other members of my family. My brother and sister in law stayed in the third floor loft area, along with their older boys. They had the whole floor to themselves and that was nice because they are especially late to bed people! The master bedroom was excellent - spacious and convenient with large bath and closet attached. My elderly dad (86) managed to do alright with the stairs going from first floor to second, where master bedroom was, but the stairs may be a challenge for some. Certainly not for most people! The best part was the kitchen - actually the whole first floor, patio and the grounds. Absolutely comfy and great for accommodating our large group. A round large table in the kitchen fits 10! And it has a lazy susan in the middle! Kitchen had everything you'd need or want to make large meals and to share in the making of a meal. Nice details everywhere....games to play, separate area for those wanting to watch TV and another room for reading, playing, talking. The weather was very rainy so we didn't utilize the outside patio or walk the property. That was so disappointing. There is a large table outside as well, plus a covered gazebo like structure - lit and with cozy seating! Although we mostly stayed indoors when we weren't touring around, we spent a lot of time photographing butterflies. I have never seen a non stop show of swallowtails like we did during our 4 day stay! I wouldn't change a thing and would definitely rent this home again. Thank you Jolley!

Jolly and her son Andrew were incredibly accommodating for our group and our only (very small) issue was promptly and efficiently taken care of. The house was clean and the property was beautiful. It was nice and secluded, which as a group coming from the city, was a nice change. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting the area!
