A truly lovely home and gracious hosts. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. Quiet, with access to the fridge and a wonderful back yard. Easy to take a short drive or bus ride to Kailua town or beach. Highly recommend!

Martine's guest room is quite lovely. It is perfectly located in Kailua, it is in a beautiful home, and Martine was a wonderful host. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay in beautiful Kailua. Martine has thought of everything her guests may need and I felt very comfortable there. I return to Hawaii fairly frequently as I once lived there and I will definitely look up Martine again next time I am in town!

Hi Jackie, Yes, sorry I missed you. Just desperately needed a shower before the party, and it was great fun. How intriguing. You met very nice gentleman! Wishing you the best! And, yes, we will welcome you back anytime. Aloha, Martine

Martine and Mark were excellent hosts who did not hesitate to share their knowledge of the island with us. They were very considerate, and offered us beach towels and mosquito repellants to use for beach trips and hikes in the mountains. They're also very interesting people who are a delight to talk to!

We loved staying at Martine's place for 9 days. The house is in a nice, quiet area of Kailua that is a short walk into town. (We used Uber to get to other places on Oahu). The room is really spacious and has the most comfortable (full size) bed Neill and I have ever slept in. Martine and Mark are really wonderful people to talk to and spend time with. We loved chatting with them and drinking coffee in the morning before going off to do things elsewhere on the island. There is also a mini coffee maker in the room for when we felt like hanging out on our own. We also had access to the laundry machine and kitchen. Martine and Mark have two adorable cats and we can't wait to see them again next time we are on the island!

Martine and Mark were wonderful hosts! Very kind, hospitable and friendly to welcome us into their home. We felt comfortable and enjoyed the stay. When asked, boogie board was provided and we were able to do our small load of laundry as well!

Mrs. Martine and her husband are a very sweet couple. My daughter and I have stayed in their home for 8 days and it was a pleasant experience in Hawaii. The room is very comfortable and the rules are very reasonable. They made us feel at home and we do not have any bad comment. We have only reasons to thank them for the good time we had. The location was very convenient for us because my son lives in Kailua. Actually, Kailua is a very nice beach town just 30 min away from Honolulu. It has beautiful beaches and nice restaurants.

I'm originally from a small town in Marin County, California, and have lived in Hawaii for 29 years. I teach English as a Second Language and English courses at a community college. I enjoy fine art photography, both taking and printing images. You'll find some of my artwork on the walls of my home.
I like going for walks, light hikes and sipping a good latte while chatting with friends. I enjoy nature and art; one and the same in my view. I love to travel too; it's a feast for the eyes. Hope you feel the same way when you visit Hawaii!
