This is an authentic Mongolian yurt, which is fully insulated with sheep's wool and has a woodburner to create a cosy, warm space. There is a double bed and 3 single futons, a well equipped enclosed kitchen, a BBQ and firepit.

The space

The yurt is located in a half acre field to which yurt stayers have exclusive use. The toilet and shower is also yours for the stay. There is a trampoline, swing and goal post for your use.
We provide duvets, pillows, blankets, hot water bottles, candles, firewood and charcoal for the BBQ. You will need to bring either sleeping bags or duvet covers with sheets, pillowcases and towels. We have 2 solar powered lanterns and an electric reading light but would suggest a torch for night time trips to the toilet or shower.

Guest access

We will always be here to greet you unless we have arranged otherwise, and will usually be around during your stay at our nearby house, and will do our best to answer your questions about the yurt and the area, places to visit, eat etc.

Other things to note

This is essentially a luxury camping holiday so although you'll have proper beds, a woodburner to stay warm and an indoor kitchen, please remember you are in a field and will need to be prepared for all weathers with wellies and waterproofs.
We have a well equipped kitchen a few steps from the yurt, with a 2 ring electric hob, under the worktop fridge, kettle, toaster and a good range of crockery, pans, utensils etc.

This is a quiet area suitable for families and people who would enjoy the outdoors. I'm sorry we do not take bookings for stag or hen weekends but would certainly consider single sex groups who are coming to walk, cylcle or enjoy the countryside and coastline.
We would ask that you don't play radios etc but you are welcome to bring a musical instrument that doesn't require electricity. We value good relationships with our neighbours!
We have a firepit so you are welcome to bring or collect local firewood. We provide wood for the woodburner but ask that you don't put this on the firepit please. We usually have a separate woodpile for the firepit.
As we have children, and neighbours, although not close sound travels so we ask please for no noise after 11pm and before 7am.
Please do not wear wellies or outdoor shoes in the yurt. We recommend slippers or flipflops for comfort on the coir matting.
Please do not bring pets.
There is no smoking allowed on the site.

This was our second stay at the yurt and we enjoyed it again. Great hosts and we love having the space to ourselves, with BBQ and fire pit - great 'outdoor' experience but without some of the hassles of camping.

The yurt was absolutely wonderful for our family (3 boys aged 2, 5 & 12). We were going to a wedding at Hilton Court Garden and we turned it into a long weekend away. The yurt itself was warm, cosy and wonderfully welcoming. The kitchen provided everything we needed & the shower/ toilet area was clean and warm. The field was fabulous with the trampoline and swings, in fact on the morning after the wedding we found it difficult to leave, our three boys would have been happy to stay there all day!!! Many thanks, we had a great time.

The yurt is spacious and well equipped with everything you need. The toilet and shower facilities were excellent. It gave our children their first experience of camping in a safe and enjoyable environment. Neil was very welcoming. The location is excellent for exploring this part of Pembrokeshire. Our young children enjoyed seeing lots of seals on the boat ride from St Davids, crabbing and exploring lots of beaches. The yurt was perfect given the mixed weather of sunny spells and some torrential rain! It allowed us to enjoy the outdoors to the maximum as the yurt stayed warm and dry. Thank you for sharing your lovely place with us. We would love to come back.

A little piece of heaven for us. We stayed for six nights with our two yr old and eight month old daughters. The yurt and environment was very safe and secure, comfortable and relaxing. The girls enjoyed the trampoline everyday. The well equipped little kitchen was perfect for our meals. It was lovely to have a hot shower on site too. The location was great for us as it was quiet but not too far to reach the beaches and small towns nearby. 10 mins to the local supermarkets. We will certainly return. Nice little touches with Welsh chocolate, Welsh cakes and hot choc supplied. A very memorable holiday for us.

Our short stay at Caroline's yurt was very sweet. The yurt was a beautiful space and everyone slept excellently after a long evening out in the field and around the firepit. Caroline and Neil gave a warm welcome. They have put a lot of thought and care into the comfortable and attractive set-up. The kitchen has everything you need, and the toilet and shower are super-clean and spacious. We have a baby and a 3 year old plus our 17 year old niece joined us and we all loved it.

Loved our stay at Caroline's yurt. Missing it already. Our kids had a whale of a time, and made good use of the trampoline and swing. The log burner was very efficient and kept the yurt nice and toasty at night (even though we only had it lit for an hour or so). The yurt itself was lovely quality, watertight, warm and most importantly - insect proof - much better than previous ones we've stayed in. We really enjoyed the peaceful location, especially when the kids had gone to bed. Would definitely recommend and hoping to revisit someday in the not too distant future :)

A lovely yurt for our family of 5. Loved the quirkiness and our girls loved the trampoline, swings and toasting marshmallows over the fire pit!
