This log cabin was custom built for my family and for generations to come. You will enjoy this home as the perfect vacation hideway nestled in the mountains with a view of Lolo Creek and Lolo Peak while still being close to modern day accoutrements.

The space

This log home sits on 48 acres of land that is mostly mountain, trees, and a few horses. The log home is adjacent and close to the main house where I live, but completely separate. The property is just off of Highway 12 so you can easily access nearby towns, bars, and local attractions. Lots of hiking trails to explore.

There is a glass propane stove which keeps the space very comfortable during the cold season.

Guest access

The entire log home is available to you. It's well furnished with a queen size bed, a futon, and a couch. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, utensils, etc. and has a big refrigerator.

Interaction with guests

My husband and I live in the adjacent main house, close to the main house. We love to chat and visit with you if you want to but we do respect and value your time and privacy at the same time. I'm still busy working and I'm in and out of the house. If I am available, you are more than welcome to use the main house amenities such as the washer/dryer or Internet to help make your stay more enjoyable.

Other things to note

In order to access the home, you will need to exit off of Highway 12 and open the front gate (by hand). Once you drive through the gate, you will close the gate (to keep the horses from escaping!) and drive up a very short trail past the horse shed to park in front of the log home.

There is parking right in front of the front door.

Awesome place! Just as advertised. The horses were our favorite part - very friendly and beautiful property tucked away in the woods!

Lorna's cabin is warm and charming, much like the host herself. The views are beautiful, with a front porch and back deck to appreciate them from, and the interior of the cabin has great character. Lorna was very accommodating to our schedule, and was kind enough to provide material on attractions in the area within the cabin.

This is the perfect little cabin nestled in the woods. The balcony faces mountains, the big glass windows on the front of the house let you start your day with a breathtaking view. Dishes and coffeemaker included. Lorna is VERY nice and helpful.

The cabin is absolutely AMAZING! My husband and I so enjoyed our stay. It was the perfect distance from Missoula to feel removed and in the wilderness while being able to spend the day exploring the town as well. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

We had a wonderful stay. The beds and pillows were the MOST plush and comfortable! There is a coffee machine, toaster, and mircrowave. No need to bring any blankets; she has plenty and there is 2 additional heaters upstairs in the loft. Lolo Hot Springs was about another 15 minutes up the road. We look forward to another visit soon.

Thanks for the suggestions. Really appreciate it. You're welcome to come back anytime. Some dates are blocked and not available because we might have some company or just want a break.

Lorna's log cabin is a perfect place to stay cozy and comfy, and as a basecamp to explore the wonderful wilderness that is literally just outside the front door! My wife and I enjoyed reading at night while relaxing by the gas burning stove at night, and setting out for hikes from the front door by day. We particularly enjoyed relaxing each evening on the front porch rocking bench while watching the sun set over the mountains. If you're looking for serenity, this is the place for you!

The cabin is very nice and a good location. Close to Lolo and easy to find. Lorna was very helpful in answering questions I had. I would stay here again if I am back in the area.
