Lovely setting and bay. Single track road quite rough for bikes/cars. Property is very basic, so come prepared (wineglasses, sharp knives, big pots for the local seafood!). Property needs a bit of TLC, especially the garden.

The cottage is remote but such an adventure getting there! I really loved the location and enjoyed biking around and learning history of Lismore! The cove at end of road was fantastic for snorkelling around!

Thank you for your feedback Elaine, I'm glad you had a nice stay! I will take more care in the future to advise guests to walk the steep stairs down backwards. Because of it's location in the bay, drainage of the driveway is a bit of a challenge, but hopefully we'll get around to that next spring!

This was the perfect cottage for us to explore Lismore from. Ideal for walking and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. The information pack provided prior to our visit was invaluable and helped us plan our trip! Would highly recommend Crofting Cottage to all! Top tip: don't miss out on dinner at The Pier House in Port Appin!

An amazing experience to stay in the crofting cottage. Great atmosphere and location. We had sheep welcoming us at the front door. You will definitely need transport to get there from port Appin.

The Crofting Cottage is a rustic dream. Charming from the outside and updated on the inside. We stayed for four nights and loved every minute of it. We relaxed and wandered and even ventured off the island a few times. (That part was the biggest (albeit minor) nuisance--managing the ferry schedules.) The lofted bed is a tight fit for two with the slanted ceilings, but we just got a little cozy. The kitchen is fully functional, and we cooked several meals during our stay. The wi-fi is also lightning fast. We were able to stream video with no problem. Crofting Cottage is perfect for a quiet, laid-back holiday.

I am a Lismore resident and managing the Crofting Cottage for its owners Steve and Christina, who are very busy with their incredible dog training business Epic Dog in Glasgow.
Scotland is my home of choice and I can never get tired of seeing all these beautiful mountains and ever-changing skies every day. I'm very happy to share my love of the land and its wonderful people by inviting you to stay on the island, and experience the remoteness, solitude and warmth it offers.
I'm a photographer and Jack of all trades on the island and love that each day holds something different. I'll be helping you to get the best out of your stay and close by if you need help or advice with anything.
Friends and Coffee are the essentials of life for me, and always staying curious to meet new people and see new places and be amazed by the beauty they have to offer. My ideal day includes 3 breakfasts, a walk over the hills with a beloved collie dog, listening to and playing music, being creative and productive, and sitting around the dinner table with friends, having a good discussion and a good laugh. I'm looking forward to meet you:)

About Christina:

I am a friendly outgoing host, in love with life, family, and good friends.
My ideal night is Salsa dancing or socializing with great friends, playing music, singing, putting the world to rights and making merry.

For work, myself and my husband own The Epic Dog Training Academy in Glasgow, rehabilitation for difficult dogs - and training for owners. We love it - but it keeps us frantically busy for over 60 hours per week! We are based in The Pet Empawrium, East Kilbride, Scotland's 1st all inclusive pet center.

Needless to say - dogs are important to us, and your four legged family members are most welcome in our Crofting cottage.

Much Love, C x
