Kilballyowen House is located 22 km south of Limerick City in a rural and very scenic part of County Limerick, 7 km from the beautiful lake Lough Gur and Grange Stone Circle. We are a working farm with cattle, horses, dogs, cats and hens.
Kilballyowen House is a country house in a peaceful parkland setting with unhindered views stretching towards the Galtee mountains. Mature trees dot lush almost boundless pastures. It is a particularly tranquil spot surrounded by only the sounds of the birds and nature. Cattle, horses, hens, dogs and cats are also present and the nearest village, Bruff, is 5 km away.
Guests are provided with a bright double room ensuite with beautiful views onto the Galtee Mountains, and have a choice of one large double bed or two singles. You are welcome to relax in the sitting room in front of an open fire. You can also of course have access to the kitchen and fridge.
You may enjoy walking through the farm, visit the horses, enjoy the parkland with its many old and beautiful trees.
Interaction with guests
I am happy to interact as much or as little as you would like and delighted to offer recommendations if required.
Other things to note
We have three dogs (two labradors and a terrier) and two tabby cats that are allowed downstairs in the house so might not suit if you have allergies.
