Tixib, is a small organic farm in Tepoz.

This cabin, more like a tree house, like the other cabin, is also surrounded by forest.

Fully equiped.

Enjoy hiking or meditating, great for bird watching or just relaxing.

Great night sky.

The space

Cozy cabin with a fire place and a terrace to the forest garden.

You will find your self in a farm environment, surrounded by lots of different trees, birds and fabulous volcanic rock formations.

You have an independent entrance, so you may come and goo freely; the main house is a walk away if you need any assitance.

Make sure I will make the best out of your getaway to the forest.

You can access internet via wi fi or ethernet, during rainy season we mihgt not have internet available, a good chance to "connect, disconnecting"...

Fully equiped, just come and vacation.

The farm project is in need of systems that interact in a sustainable manner within, so, our toilet is designed to work with no use of water; it is commonly referred to as: composting toilet.

Please get information on this system, wikipedia has a good description.

Guest access

The cabin is your very own private space.

You may visit the farm around, but remember I live here and appreciate silence, particularly at night.

OftenI have friends come to the farm and share around a good fire, have some wine, cold beer, food direct from the grill, play music and just relax, chill out and have great arguments about what ever, mostly great laughs and happiness, you are absolutely welcomed to these gatherings.

Interaction with guests

If you must take a taxi from the bus station or town into the farm, you should not pay more than $ 100.00 pesos.

We have hosted volunteers, students and travelers from many different countries, ranging all ages, in all kind of vehicles and on foot. So we know exactly what to recommend to visit, where to have dinner or a relaxing great massage or sweat lodge ceremony. There are lots of trails to hike, we love to go to the mountain and have our own special sites to visit with extraoirdinary views of the cliffs and mountains around us, that we´d love to share with you. The National Park is our back yard! No kiding.

We can arrange a ride into town, though, I only have a two seater mini pick-up you can ride in the back box...

My two dogs are friendly, one is an old dog, her name is RAGA and the other is a young Malinois, very energetic and very obedient her name is UMA.

They should not be let out of the gate at all, please do not feed them.

Other things to note

A good chance to visit a small community in the mountains of Mexico, or the pyramid inTepoztlan and its unique folklore and market place with all these colorfull and tastefull meals to savor.

Get some arts and crafts on the weekend market or go to a TEMAZCAL (sweatlodge ceremony) to cleanse and get all your stress out.

Buy some CECINA...and grill it over some hot coals, tradicionally prepared meat, cut in a very very thin sheet and salted. Muy rico!

There are good places to eat ranging all prices. Good places to visit. Good coffee shops, and best of all, the mountain hikes and birds.

There is a cozy fire place in the living room or a fire place in the garden.

Guillermo's place is the perfect get away from the city. Nesteled in the mountains about 20 minutes from the town of Tepoztlan this is a true off the beaten path sanctuary. It was perfect for our weekend away. It is a bit challenging to get around without a car but was actually very fun to take the bus too and from town!

The cabin is rustic as described and the surrounding forest and mountains are worth visiting. The kitchen utilities are very limited so not very suitable for a lot of cooking. It rained during the night and the roof leaked from several places, also straight to the sleeping matress and the floor flooded under the door. We also were not expecting to have another cabin so close. Nevertheless we enjoyed our stay being outdoors and in the evening the cabin has a nice atmosphere with the fireplace. Guillermo was flexible with the checkout so we had time to hike the mountains and he helped us with everything we needed.

Thank you for the feed back, the rainy season is just starting so we cannot tell where it is going to give us leak problems, it was doing ok until last guest, so now with your information, we can locate them and fixém right away; sorry for this inconvenience. It really poured! The other cabin is 25 meters away, and almost invisible form the loft, to be precise. Sorry this is an inconvenience. If you can tell me what else would you like to have in the kitchen we will try to provide it, we can understand guests with more of a cooking chef enjoy or pro like trend would expect to have lot more and not the regular basic for a simple breakfast or dine, sorry about this.

This is a lovely cabin in the woods made by the owner itself. The pace is very cosy, perfecto for a couple. We had a great experience. It is a little bit far from the town so a car is recommended.

Thank you for the credit Cristina, hope you all come visit again!

WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS LITTLE CABIN. Guillermo is one of the best hosts- we felt very very welcomed. He was very sweet, always easy to reach, and gave us tons of information and guidance. The cabin is beautiful and mystical and mysterious, and the surrounding area is stunning. The commute into the center of town is a quick 15-20 minutes by cab or bus. Very private, secluded, cozy stay. We loved our time here!

I planned to stay at Guili's place for 10 days, and I ended up staying 38....I would have stayed longer if I could have! It's a little paradise, tucked away in the woods, surrounded by mountains. The living space is beautiful. Many times I would be struck by it's beauty, even after being there every day for 5 weeks! The shower, kitchen and quality of all the bed linen and furniture give it a luxurious feeling. Living in the woods was very therapeutic, and if you walk for 10 minutes, you are in the mountains. The easily accessible trails are magical. There is also plenty of climbing and bouldering to be done, plus some more challenging trekking, if you feel like striking out into nature. Guili is such a lovely host, he really took care of me. A few times a week I would hitch a ride into town with him, and he told me all about the area and the people living there. Tepozlan is a 20 minute bus journey away, and has all sorts available. I am vegan, and was able to find vegan sausages, vegan cheese (ahimsa queso! so good - try the herb one), fresh miso, falafel, hummus and many more delicious things you would not expect to find in a small mountain town. There are some small shops with basics, beer and ice cream about a 5 minute walk from the loft. I just loved this place, and am still thinking about it and missing it 2 days after leaving it. Highly highly recommended.

I truly loved my time at Guillermo's farm. More of a forest sanctuary than active farm. We stayed at this location for a month and were able to hike through the forests, connect to the locals and the space is a short 20 minute bus ride into town and the bus runs every day until 9pm. I went into town quite often as the wifi was not always reliable due to being in the forest and I work online so I would go into town for my clients which worked out perfectly. If you are looking for quiet this is likely not the location for you, likely Tepotzlan is not the space for you as the whole town is lite up by dogs barking pretty consistently as there are what seems to be more dogs than people in this town. We were not bothered by this and made friends with many of the local dogs and the sweetest cat. Tepotzlan is a very interesting place with a powerful, mystical energy to it. Being right at the base of the mountains was incredibly invigorating and activating. If I find myself in this area again I will be sure to stay here again.

Great time. A perfect place to see nature. Guillermo told me about hiking trails close to the loft and that was the best part, try to find the trail that goes up into the hill and to the other side, the view is breathtaking- almost unbelievable. I also met my new best friend, gato. Gracias, Guillermo!

Response from Guillermo (Huili):
Good to know you spent your time at the forest having a good time and making new friends! Be welcomed anytime Seth.
