The space

Why stay in a hotel when you can stay in a home? Come visit Paros in style. Our home has stunning views of the turquoise waters of the Aegean Sea and crimson sunsets in the evening. The village of Alyki is on the southern part of the island, which is naturally protected from winds and has some of the calmest and clearest waters in Paros. Alyki is a fishing village where you can find fisherman bringing in their daily catch. Local restaurants display octopus drying in the sun and fish tanks with crab and lobster for the kids to view.

The building is 2 stories with our house on the top floor. There are 2 bedrooms with a queen size bed in each room. Both rooms have air conditioning. Upon request, we can add a folding bed for a child (10 yrs and under) or portable crib for a baby up to 2 yrs old to the master bedroom. The master has a bathroom with a bathtub/shower, toilet and sink. The other bathroom is located in the common area and has a shower, toilet and sink. The entire home is tiled with marble floor. The common area (dining room, living room and kitchen) is open concept with air conditioning. The dining room has a table with 6 chairs. The living room has 2 small sofas that also have a pullout mattress. The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator, stove/oven, sink, and microwave, along with cups, plates, utensils, pots and pans, etc for you to prepare and eat your meals. There is a television in the master bedroom and a television with a DVD player in the living area. Internet is available from June to the end of September.

The amazing outdoor living space is where you will want to be! The area is very large (55 sq meters) and is fully enclosed with a 3 ft. high concrete wall (childproof for young children). It is also partially shaded to allow relief from the afternoon sun. Here you will enjoy family meals with wonderful views of the sea, sunsets, stars and moon. We also provide a BBQ on the veranda along with tables and chairs. Although we don't allow smoking in the home, you are free to smoke on the veranda. Lastly, we also have a men's bicycle available for use to run errands around town or for exercise.

Our home is down the street from a supermarket, bakery, and fruit/vegetable market. Close to all of your immediate needs so you can stock up on groceries, paper goods and anything else you require for your stay. We are a 10 minute walk to the main village of Aliki, 10 minute drive to the ferry to Antiparos, 15 minute drive to Parikia (Port), or you can take a bus which is available near the supermarket. Rental cars are available at the Port and the airport and allow you to explore the island at your leisure. Paros is small enough that you can see it all, and close enough to other islands (Santorini, Mykonos, Antiparos, Naxos) that you can do a day trip.

Paros has a beautiful history with so many things to see and do. The culture and food are rich and the people are full of life

The house will be cleaned and we will provide clean linens and towels. Please bring your own beach towels. The towels we provide are for the bathroom and are not intended for you to remove them from the home.

It is your responsibility to provide paper goods, beverages and food, etc. for your stay. These items can be purchased from the supermarket located down the street.

Please note that under no circumstances should anything be thrown in the toilet. Please only use the waste basket provided.

Lastly, please close all windows and doors when leaving the apartment. There is a lot of wind I. The island that can cause damage, and make the inside dusty/dirty.

Very nice terrasse with beautiful view on sunset. Part of the terrasse is protected from wind. No need to have a car to go to beach and restaurant. Was nice to walk 2 minutes to get fresh bread and bakeries and also fruits/vegetables from the area (also supermarket at 2min walk)

Vasi was very helpful before our trip and arranged our transfer from the airport to the apartment. The apartment was lovely and just as depicted in the photos. We spent many evenings sitting on the veranda watching the sun set with a bottle of the local wine. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and with the air conditioning and ceiling fan we managed to stay cool during the hot July nights. The shower was the best we have experienced in Greece too. The Alyki area was perfect for our holiday with a family beach, supermarket and a good choice of tavernas all within walking distance. The people were friendly and we we able to practice our limited Greek conversation in the bakery and restaurants. Efharisto poli Vasi!

Vasi was a very helpful and resourceful host. She is been very helpful in the preparation of our arrival. The appartment is perfectly located, near a fine bakery and enough close to Aliki village to walk. The terrasse is amazing and the appartment was perfect for a family. Everything is very functional. We were in Paros for kitesurfing and we were only 7-minute drive from the spot. Thanks Vasi! We will come back.

We spent one week at Vasi´s house. It is really very comfortable for a big family and has everything you need in a real home. There is a very nice view from the veranda, so you just get up and enjoy the fresh sea air from it. There´s a supermarket at hand and a playground for children very near the house. Vasi was very kind and answered to all our requests immediately. We really enjoy our family time in Aliki !!

The commuication with Vasi was perfect months before we even arrived in Paros. She was always ready to answer questions. Her house was exactly what we were expecting to finish our tour of the Small Cyclades with our daughter. A laid-back atmosphere in Aliki, a few hundred meters from the sea. The apartment is really huge and there was nothing missing (except maybe some light on the stairs to the first floor when coming back late at night). Our daughter was also delighted to notice that there was a bunch of cats seemingly "attached" to the house ! Thank you for these wonderful holidays...

Thank you for your feedback. We are very happy to hear that you and your family enjoyed your stay. We have followed up on your recommendation and have hired an electrician to install a light on the first floor. Wishing you all the best...

We spent 3 weeks at Vasi's place in Alyki in July 2014 and everything was in accordance with our expectations. The pictures and the description of the place are quite faithful, so there is nothing we can really add. We really enjoyed our stay. Alyki is a lovely quiet village, mostly suited for families and people who want to escape from the crowds (few foreigners). Considering its small size it has a surprisingly rich offer of restaurants and services. There's even a car rental company, so it is easy drive around the island. Overall, a nice place to be!

I love to travel with my husband and family. We live in the United States, but travel to Greece for the summer. Our home in Paros is our paradise. We love the relaxing atmosphere during the day and the vibrant nightlife. There are so many things to do and see in Paros and nearby islands. The village of Aliki has amazing fresh seafood and has some of the most beautiful beaches. We look forward to spending our summers in Paros every year!!!
