The generator is extremely quiet and cabin can be run on solar too.

Please be mindful of space and treat cabin with respect.

***Loud noises are not tolerated without exception. Cabin is a place to enjoy family and friends --- not a party rental.

***In winter, when walking conditions apply, leave one car only in assigned spot located at end of plowing to the far right out of the way.

***Drive slowly and keep left at gate prior to cabin. Neighbors are great, but respect their privacy and property. Winter parking spot is at the very end of plowing and pull the extreme right of right out of the way.

***bring water --- camp doesn't have any.

***please park at assigned spot and do not drive to cabin in winter. It's very easy to think you can make it, but getting stuck is likely going to happen.

Carson’s Cabin was the perfect place for a quiet, off the grid getaway. The driveway is extremely steep - the change in grade is mentioned but it would have been nice to know how steep it actually is - but my little civic made it up there ok after a few failed attempts. The view was amazing and it was so quiet! We walked the few miles to Little Pond and it did not disappoint. We were pleasantly surprised with the amount of birds and wildlife as it is a little late in the season as well. The outhouse was less than ideal, but it wasn’t a dealbreaker. We had to hunt for firewood but I am sure it is easier to find in the summer. We do wish a small bundle had been provided - or some guide on where to go for items like firewood and pellets that were also not provided for the stove. Overall, the cabin was clean, private, and quiet. It was the perfect spot to getaway for a few days.

Carson's cabin is the perfect place for those seeking a rustic cabin, peacefully surrounded by breathtaking views. The stoney driveway is a bit tricky, and the ladder to the loft may be a challenge to seniors, but if one is prepared to deal with these features, you will love your stay at this adorable, cozy, peaceful cabin. The inviting red sectional sofa serves as both a great gathering place and comfortable sleep area. The room has large windows, surrounding guests with beautiful views of the mountains. Pictures and decor add to the placid environment, and "Bucky", the talking deer head, made for great fun, sending videos to our little grand daughters. The loft bedroom was quite nice, facing a gorgeous half circle window exposing the beautiful view. However, seniors and youngsters may have difficulty with the steep climb. We did discuss this with Carson, and as noted we made out very well sleeping on the sectional couch. The kitchen facilities were adequate, though we added a few implements we felt would be useful for longer stays. Carson appreciated the input. The lack of plumbing is not an issue if one is prepared for it. We brought a porta potty for nights, but we felt the little outhouse had a charm of its own...we did buy some pumpkin spice air freshener that helped. With Carson's help, we located the Bennington Recreation Center, on Gage St., where we were able to take showers in a nice facility for only $1.00. Bring towels. The kitchen stove worked well, and a cooler was provided to store perishables, so we had no problem preparing meals. Bennington has some very nice restaurants and we thoroughly enjoyed The Bennington Station, and at Carson's suggestion, ended our visit with dinner at The Bennington Publyk House. The beautiful mountain decor, and phenomenal food, were surpassed only by the incredible sunset over the mountains that we watched as we ate our meal. IT was perfection. We truly loved a stay at Carson and Ali's cabin and highly recommend it to those who enjoy a natural, rustic experience. Ed amd Kathy McCarthy, Milwaukee, WI

This cabin was just perfect! The location was secluded yet easy to get to civilization of needed. Carson was a perfect host. There were clear directions for the cabin and the workings of the generator and (URL HIDDEN) family fell in love with the cabin, the hiking, the view and yes...even the outhouse !!! We can't wait to book again and wished we stayed longer. Please take my word for it..this is a little slice of heaven here in Vermont!
