This is century-old house at the best place of Santa Teresa: beautiful, with character, very well equipped, totally independent, with two bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, mezanines and air conditioners in all the rooms (3 airs), and a balcony with an open view to the valley of Santa and the blue sky!
Very close to the restaurants, bars and the tram stop!

The space
The Historic House is the second floor of a very charming house, preserved by the Historical Patrimony, built at the beginning of the last century, 50 meters from Largo dos Guimarães, the main point of Santa Teresa.
As characteristic architecture of the time, has right foot of 4.5 meters. We took advantage of this vertical space to make mezzanines. It was a very comfortable house, with two bedrooms, living room with kitchen, bathroom, balcony with hammock and mini laundry.
The double bedroom has a double bed, wardrobe, bedside tables with lamps, and a mezzaninewith one single bed.
The single room was my daughter's room, then, it has a female decor, with a dressing table, closet, and a single bed in the mezzanine.
The living room has an equipped american kitchen, two little tables, and a single bed and chest of drawers in the mezzanine.
The two bedrooms and a living room has airs conditioning. All the house is airy and with a free view.

Guest access
You can access the entire unit. It is rented exclusively and as a whole.
Please note that the Sobrado Unit is on the second floor, accessible only by stairs.

Other things to note
The house has security cameras, but only outside de house.
Children are welcome, but how exist stairs and a balcony, this house is not recommended for little children. It is better for children with 7 years or more.
Turn off the air conditioner when it isn't in use or when you are not in home.

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Santa Teresa is a historic district, the only one with trams still running in Brazil, and at the same time strategic, because is very close to the downtown and the South Zone of the city, a great option for those who come to Rio. It is near the center town, with 3 bus lines, beyond the tram, Lapa, Glória, 15 minutes to the van in Largo do Machado that up the Christ, 20 minutes to sugar loaf, 20 minutes to Copacabana beach.
It is famous for its winding streets with old houses, museums, wonderful views of the city, and many interesting restaurants and bars.
Great places to visit are: the Parque das Ruínas, the Museu da Chácara do Céu and the Selaron stairs. They are all in the same direction and close to each other. They are located about 15 minutes from the house by walking.
In the other direction you will find the House-Museum of Benjamin Constant and the Centro Cultural Laurinda Santos Lobo. They are not as amazing as the other places just mentioned, but they are a nice destination for a small trip after or before lunch, for example. From the house, it takes a 7 minute walk to get there.
And don't forget to ride the tram through the arches of Lapa, it is an awesome trip!

There is a map in the refrigerator's door, and you can use it to locate yourself.
For breakfast or a snac, there is a little shop close to the house, which has an organic cheese bread and a very good açai, among other things. It is named Cultivar. The Bar do Mineiro, at Paschoal Carlos Magno street, next to the Church, has a famous feijoada.
