We love Frida and her mom, Yolanda, and felt like family while staying in their home. We stayed extra days because it felt so good. They're both kind, thoughtful, helpful and knowledgeable about the city and the surrounding area. Their location along a curving, palm-lined private street is beautiful, quiet and just a short walk to the center of town. Our room was spacious. One thing I especially liked is that there are reading lamps on each side of the bed, which many airbnb places do not offer. Yolanda's breakfasts were delicious and healthy. We welcomed the energy and excitement of their dogs, but they keep them out of the way if you're not interested in them. We had a great stay!

A lovely quiet spot just a stone's throw away from the centre of Oaxaca. Frida and her mom Yolanda were warm, generous hosts, with delicious communal breakfasts every morning together with the other guests and lively conversation about local Oaxacan culture and beyond.

We loved our stay at Casa Frida. From the moment we arrived we felt at home. Frida and her mom are so warm relating to others, so willing to help the new comers to navigate the city. They gave us tips for places to visit and info about the local culture. But above all we were amazed at their sense of humanity and caring nature. Definitely an all around wonderful experience worth repeating at their B&B. The room was cozy, clean, comfortable. And so was the bathroom. I will recommend this place for sure to friends and family. Loved it!!!

Casa Frida is akin to a simple communal hostel – private rooms, a shared bathroom, and some common areas. It's the type of set up that would appeal to a no-frills backpacker. Breakfasts with Yolanda and Frida are a great way to get gain local insights and cultural understanding.

Everything about Casa Frida was a delight. We enjoyed the wonderful people there, and the colourful and uplifting house. We will miss all the oaxacan breakfasts provided by Yolanda. Being at Casa Frida was like visiting old friends. Can't say enough good things about it. Hope to return one day.
