Nestling in this picturesque village of Coxwold, Braecote is the perfect place for a romantic getaway and ideally placed for weddings at Newburgh Priory and Coxwold church and fine dining at the Michelin starred Black Swan at Oldstead.
Cosy and warm and with high quality fixtures and fittings it's also a great base from which to explore the historic city of York, the North York Moors, Yorkshire Dales and east coast.
Braecote is a deceptively spacious 19th century cottage and a perfect bolthole for two. A great base for visiting York, enjoying outdoor activities, or for those who just want with space to chill and relax.
You will always find tea, coffee, milk and biscuits when you arrive - and maybe a few extras if you are there for a longer stay. The well-equipped kitchen has reclaimed work surfaces and modern appliances.
Relax in front of the wood-burner in the sitting room where you will find books, games, puzzles and DVDs as well as maps and information on the local area.
A comfy king-size bed will ensure you have a good nights sleep then wake refreshed to views over to the Hambleton Hills.
Enjoy listening to the birds and the church clock chime in the sunny south facing garden.
There is space to store bikes at the back of the cottage.
The cottage is suitable for a babe in arms but please bring your own travel cot.
The cottage has its own dedicated parking space for one car on the quiet access lane at the rear of the property. Entry to the cottage is via the back door - there's an outside light for when it's dark.
I will email directions and access information the week before your stay.
Interaction with guests
We live in the next village and are contactable by phone or email should you need anything, for example recommendations of places to eat or things to see and do.

Please leave the cottage as clean and tidy as you found it and remove outdoor shoes when inside.
