The space

"Il Corbezzolo" is a two double bedrooms townhouse, located in the heart of the medieval village of Boccheggiano, no far from Siena and the mediterranean coast.
Siena (30 miles), is one of the most beautiful cities in Tuscany. The village is surrounded by chestnut woods and rolling landscapes. The house offers unsurpassed views of traditional Tuscan countryside.
Boccheggiano,18 miles from the coast and its sandy beaches
(Follonica is 30 minutes away), is it ideal as starting point for daytrips all around Tuscany. Florence is 1 hour and 30 minutes, S.Gimignano 1 hour, Volterra 1 hour, Massa Marittima 20 minutes, Elba Island 50 minutes ferry
ride from Piombino (40 minutes)....and hundreds more historical and traditional popular places.

The house is on two levels, ground floor composed by Living room with TV, log fire and a living kitchen . On the first floor there are two double bedrooms (able to sleep four people), and a bathroom with shower, magnificent view from all the bedrooms and from the kitchen.
If cooking is not in your plans, you will find two
traditional Trattorias with "unique" Tuscan food and wine, in the village itself (no driving involving!!).
The nearest airport is Pisa (1 hour and 15 minutes) or Roma FCO (about two hours). Rental car is normally cheaper if booked from UK.
The apartment is fully equipped, linens are provided.
Pets considered.

Boccheggiano is for Tuscany lovers, for people looking something "real" away from the touristics places, but at the same time close.

In the village you will find a friendly atmosphere, with tipical restaurant and pizzeria, food shop, bakery, bar and pharmacy.

Ideal for romantic hideways and for family with kids.
The area is great for walking, trekking or cycling.

At Massimos house you really experience the life in a Tuscany village. You have everything you need in walking distance. But we prefered to drive around and eat at different very local restaurants. You are able experience whole restaurants starting to sing and dance to local music. If you arrive don't even try to find Massimos House no map provider will lead you in the right direction. Sara (who doesn't speak english) will help you to find it and show you the house.

Massimo`s apartment and Boccheggiano are really special. We experienced fully the tuscan way of living. The apartment is unique, clean and also had all the amenities we needed. In the morning we had breakfast buying cakes and freshly baked bread from the bakery. There was also a little shop where we could by cheese, salami and milk. We loved the pasta and pizza at the pizzeria, the limoncello and the waiter-owner. This is a 3000 old village surrounded by beautiful Tuscan hills which you can enjoy from every window of the house. From here, we visited Massa Marittima, Siena and enjoyed a wonderful afternoon at the beautiful private and clean beach in Carbonifera (being there in very high season there was no chance of finding a parking lot at Cala Violina). Thank you Sara for your warm and friendly welcome and Massimo for your lovely apartment.

We had the best time in Massimo's house! It had the most beautiful views from the bedroom and kitchen, located in a very quaint hilltop town. The house is very nicely decorated. Check in was easy, and communication with the host was good and they gave some restaurant recommendations. We would highly recommend this place.

Boccheggiano is a beautiful little village surrounded by rolling tree-covered hills. Massimo's flat is right at the top of the village amongst the oldest buildings so the views out are pretty special. We were sad to only be able to stay one night as we were cycle touring across to the west coast on a bit of a tight schedule. I'd love to return one day! We never met Massimo but he was very helpful and communicative and Sara, the housekeeper, was able to explain everything for us on our arrival.

I am a tourist guide with a very good knowledge of Tuscany in general.

I am willing to share the beauty and the real lifestyle of the region with my guest and make them feel at home in this "original" part of Tuscany.
