The Willcox house is located at San Andrés y Sauces (La Palma island, Canary islands). The municipality stands out for its dense laurisilva woods, deep valleys and the banana tree terraces. Some interesting places are the forest of Los Tilos, the springs of Marcos and Cordero, El Charco Azul (the Blue Pool- natural swmming pools) and Puerto Spindola (Port of Spindola). The Willcox house is situated on a footpath that goes from San Andrés (s. XVI) to the Charco Azul, on a promontory of volcanic rock at The Atlantic Ocean. It was built in 1985 by Maurice Berersford Willcox, an English arquitec. The arquitecture of the house allows the inhabitants to get a taste of the special setting: the sea, the banana tree plantations, the sky with its sunrises over the ocean and nights full of stars.
Entering the Willcox house, means isolated from the outside world and live a unique site.
There are small lizards native of the island of La Palma and protected.
