A very good place to stay in Tulum! Clean, comfortable and safe. Everything you need is about 5 min walk except the beaches (a short taxi ride).

Yes we felt welcome. Thanks to Craig's directions we found the Hotel easily. We learned things about the culture of the people who live in Tulum when we stayed at this hotel.

I would not stay here again or recommend. It was overpriced and inconvenient - requires a taxi to and from if you have luggage. We arrived on a Saturday night lots of loud partying and dogs yelping. Needs a few more pillows on the bed. The worst part was the shower. I was literally scalded - barely short of first degree burns ( same scalding water in kitchen sink). The trouble with the shower is that there is a wall which prevents user for trying to turn off the water any way other than by walking through the scalding water. You'll see if you go there what I mean - better yet don't go and see what I mean. On the good side, the people who met us were kind and the place was clean. The kitchen was very useful and appreciated. When I looked at the photo I thought someone might be able to rest on the couch but it is way too narrow for that.

Response from Craig:
Interesting lady who probably doesn't travel much. Yes, when you come into a town if you have a bunch of bags you need a taxi. We are five blocks away from the bus station and the taxi costs 25 pesos, less than 2 dollars. We are not the Hilton, we don't pick up and drop off people. The shower has two handles, one is hot the other is cold. Yes, if you are dumb enough to only turn on the hot one it will give you hot water, duh!!! I think if you read the rest of the "real reviews" of normal people who travel you will see we are a great place to stay.

Craig is an outstanding host. His communication is excellent, including detailed directions and an extremely useful document he shares in Tulum with information on places to eat, shop, see, bank, as well as how to get around. We heartily endorse his suggestions on the taco stand and snorkeling at Akumal (amazing to see the sea turtles!). The apartment is easy to get to. Isabel is very kind and we had no problems checking in or out. This location lets you get around very easy without a car. Tulum has an excellent and easy to use collectivo system. We rode the bus in and out for our stay. We had cold A/C and strong wifi. Thanks Craig, Isabel, and Manuel.

We only stayed in Tulum a couple of days but it was a very convenient place to stay. Central to everything. Lots of great places to eat and a short taxi ride to the ruins or beach. The place itself was decent for a what we needed which was a bed to sleep. The water pressure on the shower was a little hard but otherwise what we needed was provided. They provided a couple of towels for shower and 4 hand towels. A sheet, blanket and a couple of pillows were provided. The bed was actually really comfortable and the air conditioner was an added plus! Make sure you bring your own beach towels! We ran into Craig on the way to the beach and thank god he gave us some out of his storage. Another thing I recommend is pay attention to the directions. There are no street signs so it made it a little difficult to translate it to our driver. This is where our phone came in handy and Craig answered right away to direct or shuttle driver. It all worked out and we had a great little experience in Tulum. Thanks again!
