We spent quite a bit of time looking for the best area and flat to be in Paris for a short visit. With only 4 days to use we wanted to be in a great spot to come and go easily. Kahena's flat is charming, well kept and well appointed. Everything you could need is there. The island is truly the best place in paris to stay, after long days running it is so nice to come to your own small space. You actually would never need to leave the island if you didn't want to, everything you could possibly need is around the corner. On one street is the baker, cheese shop, food store, (sweetest) gift shop in paris and the debit machine. The flat as most are is small but we easily fit 3 people with no problem, the beds are comfortable, the sofa bed easy to use. The most difficulty we had was figuring out the WIFI for my daughter who does not have an international plan. There are many cheat sheets there though for all travelers and we added one for the states. If I ever return to Paris, and after truly seeing every corner of Paris in 4 long days I would never stay anywhere but the island (and hopefully Kahena's place). *Special shout out to Kahena and her mom Dena for helping us out of a jam with kindness and compassion. Kate
Kahena's apartment is in a fantastic location and is a great size for a couple exploring the city for a few days. Facilities in the apartment are great for such a small place We enjoyed our time their mostly. However, early in our stay we had a problem with a window not locking or closing. We first contacted Kahena's mother, as instructed to do, and although she said she would visit that day she didn't. The next day she did visit but was unable to resolve the issue. It was only on messaging Kahena directly and explaining we were unhappy with the situation that a workman came to fix the window. Because of building work the open window was a significant security concern for us. Apart from this the apartment was wonderful and hopefully this is just a one-off issue.
