This is the third time I am staying in Jefferson 's place. Good experience. And really good communication. Jefferson and Alex were always available for any question or request.

Great location. Short walk to museums and galleries in Arts District and DTLA. As noted in other reviews, this is somewhat hotel like and very spartan, but it was perfect for my budget. One nice surprise was how easy it was to find free street parking in late evening/early morni…

Jefferson checked me in promptly and was very friendly. I had room 235 which had a giant fan which kept me cool during the day and night since there is no AC. The location is pretty great in the Arts District, a couple mins walk to the super cool and colorful Little Tokyo, an…

This place was unbearable and dangerous. I had booked the place for a month and I had to leave after the first day. And yes, it has no air conditioning as it says, which should not be an issue if the place had proper air circulation. But it doesn't and so the room stayed at a con…

Response from Jefferson:
We had a record-breaking heat wave in Los Angeles the day that Sebastian arrived. However it died down the next day and conditions were fine going forward. Simply untrue that the room stayed at a constant 94 degrees, as there are windows and a transom that provide cross-ventilation, as well as a fan in the room. The conditions were not nearly as extreme as Sebastian says. Sebastian made legal threats, and claimed he was an influential media person who would defame us, then apologized for making the threats. It was all rather odd. This is an old, historic building, and our amenities are listed as such. Guests should read the descriptions carefully prior to booking and take it all into account.
