The space

Maclise Road is a beautiful, light-filled first floor apartment forming part of an impressive Victorian building in the very popular ‘village’ of Brook Green in Kensington Olympia, within easy walking distance of High Street Kensington. The apartment features a beautiful sitting room with unusually high ceilings and windows– giving the apartment an impressively spacious feeling – beautiful cornicing, a lovely south facing balcony and wonderful old wooden floors. This property is a dedicated, professionally run holiday full-time rental business, and not someone's home. Though we have made it extremely homely!

The accommodation comprises of an open plan living room/kitchen with exceptionally high ceilings, bathroom and double bedroom. There is a private balcony to the front which is accessed through double doors from the living room. Maclise Road is a quiet residential street very close to the Olympia Exhibition Hall.

This spacious apartment has a large living room and separate kitchen area with additional seating. There is a well equipped modern kitchen with fridge, oven & hob, brand new cutlery and crockery, and full cooking equipment. There is a new TV in the sitting room with all freeview channels, and DVD. Also a Bowers & Wilkins ‘Zeppelin’ docking station and Wi-Fi broadband access.

Maclise Road has a beautifully proportioned bedroom with high ceilings and a king size bed (made by Loaf, one of the comfiest beds you will ever sleep on!) and plenty of storage space. The bathroom has modern bath and shower, and plenty of hot water. Beautiful White Company towels, and 400 thread count Egyptian bed linen are provided

There is security intercom access from the street below. The property is cleaned before and after your arrival and Ana the housekeeper cleaner is available for additional cleaning if required. There is also a washing machine, ironing board, and bicycles available at a Boris Bike stand less than 40 yards away.

Interaction with guests

We will be on hand for any information that the guests require, we work in the travel media so are happy to share our local knowledge with guests. Any problems, Andy the faithful handyman will also be on hand.

To guarantee an early checkin, guests would need to also book the night the before so that we can block that date out on the calendar. Or you can use the fabulous AirPortr bag delivery service ((URL HIDDEN) to get your bags delivered later in the day. And there is also a handy left luggage facility just up the road at Westfield shopping mall anyway which we can give you the address for.

Please also note: We do not have a 24 hour reception desk for keys and arrivals. It is therefore VERY important that guests communicate any delays in arrival or flight times, either while en route or before that time, so that we can facilitate your arrival and collection of keys. We will NOT be responsible if the keys are not collected at the arranged time, and this will result in guests having to pick up keys from a third party location in Acton. (Hence also why it is very important that we have guests’ flight numbers so we can track the flight online.)

The location was perfect. We were exhibiting at the London Wine Fair at Olympia and it was so close. The apartment was just as described and it was great having laundry facilities. Top marks to a great place. We enjoyed our stay.

My wife and I had a wonderful time in London! Hugo and Lizzie are wonderful and provide excellent information for your stay. Tube system is fairly easy to figure out after a day or two (Kensington Olympia) is not a tube stop like we thought, it is an over rail station. The flat where we stayed was great and feels like home. Future guests enjoy your stay and see the city! And don't forget to write in the book! Cheers, Joe&Barb

We really enjoyed staying in this lovely flat so close to the heart of London. Being in zone 2 (which is a huge plus) we could get an inexpensive week pass on the tube and travel to our hearts content. We felt very safe in the neighborhood and enjoyed breakfasts on the balcony. We did not get to meet the hosts in person, but they were wonderful in helping us out before our trip. It was a lovely home away from home.

Good expérience at lizzie and hugo's flat. It was as described and we had no bad surprise. I Will certainely Come back next Time I am in London. The sofa was confortable and the bed also. I recommend.

Just returned from London, stayed 4 nights at Elizabeth's apartment in Kensington. The apartment is simply great, everything is as per seen in the many photos listed and more. Both Hugo and Elizabeth are great hosts and easy to access and communicate. Love the neighbourhood, great location and accessibility. highly recommend it and would definitely return.
