The space

The studio room itself is approx. 15' x 10' (150 square feet), has a very large closet, approx. 5' wide x 2 1/2' deep, and a full bathroom. Furnished with a queen sized bed, table / desk and chairs.

There is a also a corner "nook" with a mini fridge, microwave, toster oven and a coffee pot. We have a small speaker set up as well (next to the alarm clock) for computers, iPods, iPads, etc.

Lots of privacy, as the space is detached from the main house. The price includes rent, utilities (DWP, Gas, Wi-Fi / hard line Internet).

I also have a BBQ and a nice set up in the back for sitting outside. Great for 1 single person or a couple. Very relaxed environment. I myself have been here for 7 years. *Cross Streets are Silver Lake Blvd. and Larga Ave.* *Also, We have a very dog friendly household. My girlfriend and I have 2 dogs (both are very sweet), and we do some dog-sitting from time to time.* We will consider allowing pets during your stay.... The details just need to be confirmed before booking.... =)

Guest access

Guests will have access to the main house for laundry / full kitchen use *if / when needed*. A password for Netflix and Hulu+ will also be provided for easy use on your lap-top or tablet. A small speaker system is also provided for quality sound.

Atwater Village is a wonderful area. It's comfortably residential without being too far from any of the areas you'd want to visit on a trip to LA. Great for those who want to travel on budget without sacrificing privacy or space that a hotel room of the same price wouldn't offer. David was kind and helpful, and his dog was sweet <3

Stayed here for a little over a month and it was a great place to explore LA. Central enough to run to Griffin Park and a quick drive to Highland Park and Pasadena, as well as Silver Lake and Echo Park. And Dave was very accommodating about my pet which I was especially grateful for!

I highly recommend staying here. Dave, Amber, and their dogs are the greatest hosts. I stayed for 3 months and never felt uncomfortable or awkward. Great location. Easy parking, and easy access to the freeways/restaurants/markets. I recommend walking down to Atwater village to grab a bite to eat or a great cup of coffee.

Cute, cozy studio with great backyard/patio area and 2 sweet dogs roaming around. Dave is such a nice guy and made us feel super welcome. The neighborhood is charming and several good restaurants & bars are within walking distance.

This is a wonderful place to stay with a wonderful host and a wonderful location! Dave was absolutely warm, welcoming and helpful from the start. I knew that this was going to be a long-term stay (multiple months) and we had discussed that beforehand, so our expectations were in line with each other's. The neighborhood is beautiful and there is tons of great stuff within walking distance, and even more within driving distance. Look up the neighborhood and the nearby neighborhoods and you'll see just how much is available - it's a perfect location. Dave and his housemates did everything possible to make me at home, while simultaneously giving me total privacy. It was a really great situation in that sense and I would stay there again in a minute for that reason alone. It's street parking only, but there is plenty of it in the area - in three months I never had to park more than a block away from the house, and that was on rare occasions. The room itself is set back from the main house so you have plenty of privacy. It's well more than large enough for one person with a bunch of stuff (which is what I had), and has a super comfy bed. There are several fans, a few pieces of furniture, a nice large closet, some shelving, a small desk, a mini-fridge, microwave, a couple other appliances for making tea and coffee, and a small bathroom with a shower. There is also a really nice outdoor patio in the back, with a little bar table and two bar stools which I found great for working at when I didn't want to be in the room. The only major thing it doesn't have is a full kitchen - just the fridge and appliances described above, but no stove or kitchen sink. However, for the price and considering EVERYTHING ELSE I've described so far, this place is way more than a good deal! Basically I was able to do exactly what I needed to during my stay, which was to work undisturbed, knowing that I could come and go as I pleased and that my host and his roommates would both give me total privacy and yet be available for me almost immediately if I needed any assistance with anything. As I said above, I would stay here again in a minute! I absolutely loved this place. I have stayed at a number of Airbnbs in LA and this one is by far the best of the lot in terms of location, hosts, parking, privacy... I could (and already have! gone on). I would recommend this place without reservation as long as you don't absolutely need a full kitchen. For me it worked out perfectly. Thanks so much Dave!

David couldn't be a nicer guy (and I met a few of his sweet friends too). The place was simple, comfortable, perfect. The neighborhood is adorable, great for walks with my dog and general strolling around-- and it's super close to the cute restaurants, shops, and bars in Atwater. I felt totally at home in David's place and really appreciate his friendly hospitality. Unless *you can't live* without a stove, this is your place! : )
