The space

Very clean, comfortable, private bedroom with private bathroom down the hall-- sleeps two, and parking space included in our spacious Glen Park home. Free wireless Internet access. Our house is five blocks from BART—so you can quickly get downtown to shops, The Ferry Building and museums—and we’re across the street from the #44 Bus line which will take you to Golden Gate Park--The Academy of Science, The De Young Museum, The Japanese Tea garden and Stowe Lake. Zip car rentals at the BART station.

Glen Park is a wonderful, quiet, friendly neighborhood with great restaurants, cafes, bookstore with weekly events, a great market and new library. We’re up the street from San Francisco’s unique Glen Park Canyon where you can take walks! You are one BART stop away from the Mission District which has numerous restaurants.

Comfortable bed has 400 count Egyptian sheets and room has plenty of drawer and closet space. There is also a desk with drawers for storage space. Your private bathroom has a shower and a drawer for all your necessities.

Garden in the back with flowers, rock wall and a table and chairs where you can sit and drink your coffee/tea!
Good coffee, a variety of tea and croissants in the morning!
We recently added a hypo-allergenic dog, Ella, to our house. Louise has asthma and allergies--so Ella doesn't shed at all and will just want to give you affection(if you want it--up to you!)

Jim and Louise are very kind people!!!! Really kind and warm~. They explained really carefully about all questions that we asked. And the house was very warm, cozy, very clean and quite!!!! Really quite place~ And wifi is so~~ fast♡ we can easilly use internet to find other information. At 10 p.m. the village was not dangerous. There were no harmless things. The bart was very close. To downtown .. About ten minutes away~ It's really easy to go downtown.! And you can go airport so easy through bart!! I will recommend this place confidently to my friends! And he or she who choses this house will be very satisfied!! I will really miss Jim and Louise~ Thank you for your kindness♡

Louise and Jim are welcoming hosts. Their house is very comfortable and convenient. The bus stop is near the house and BART station is only 8 mins walk away. Louise and Jim gave us lots of tips to travel in SF. That was helpful for us. Would recommend the lovely house.

Louise and Jim were great and very welcoming! The place was clean and cute and just a 5 min walk to the subway (BART). Also very close to Diamond St. with a delicious mexican place ($5 nachos - so tasty) and italian pizza. They both had great tips and advice on cable cars, things to see, parking, and helped us much beyond what would have been required. It was easy to come and go, but we did manage to sit and talk for a bit which was very nice! Would recommend. Thanks again :)

Louise and Jim were so incredibly kind and welcoming for me and my friend for our two night stay. We immediately felt at home, as if we were family friends coming to visit. The house is beautiful and so comfortable, and located in a GREAT spot of San Francisco. Very convenient location to the BART station and surprisingly easy to get to from the highway. The room itself is cozy and easily accommodated my friend and I. Each morning Louise and Jim had very sweetly prepared coffee/tea and croissants for us, and Jim was very helpful with giving us tips and directions to sites to see. My friend and I very much enjoyed our morning conversations with him. A big thank you to Louise and Jim for welcoming us into their lovely home!!!!!

We had a lovely stay here. Louise and Jim were very friendly and helpfull. Their home was near a bart-station so we could easely get downtown. And we didn't have to worry about parking, because there was a spot for us on their driveway.

For us it was the first time with airbnb and we loved it! Louise and Jim were very nice people and friendly and helpful hosts and the area is very good as a base for a citytrip. The underground is walkable and close to their house are some nice little restaurants and bars. We definitely recommand these guys!

Our stay was terrific! Louise was so friendly and nice--we had coffee and croissants with her one morning for breakfast. We wish we could have stayed longer! The house is beautiful, clean, and exactly as pictured. Our room was very comfortable. We had a car, so the parking space came in handy. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in SF. Also--if you're hesitating to stay here because you're not a dog person, have no fear! We generally aren't dog people, but we LOVED their dog. She is really quiet and unobtrusive and never barked or jumped on us, etc. She really didn't pay much attention to us.

Louise And Jim User ProfileLouise And Jim is a superhost.

We love keeping active, body, mind and soul. Jim retired as director of a senior citizens center, and Louise retired as an English and creative writing professor at the local community college. She now teaches small memoir workshops and Jim teaches history classes. Louise writes and is working on her fifth book. We both love to interact with people of all ages and we are tolerant and open people. Jim runs three times a week, works on his art, reads, does house projects and volunteer work. He loves watching sports. We both love reading both fiction and non-fiction, visiting museums, watching movies, seeing plays, visiting with family and friends and experiencing the great outdoors. We love meeting new people from all around the world. We travel back East once a year to visit family, and Louise recently taught a workshop in St. Thomas where her sister lives. We love to travel in California, as well. Louise went to the U. of Wisconsin and keeps up with college friends and she and Jim both attended the University of Buffalo. We visit Buffalo where Jim grew up and New York City where Louise grew up! We also have grandchildren in Connecticut so love to visit the East Coast.
We also still love to camp and Jim recently climbed to the top of Telescope Peak in Death Valley. We're also both independent people and understand and respect the need for privacy!
