Pets allowed with $100 per pet fee (non refundable. $200 penalty for not registering prior plus fee). No wild parties. Respect house rules and take shoes off. Pets without prior approval will result in deposit forfeiture.
Vehicle Registration: Cannot exceed 6 standard sized registered vehicles in driveway. These vehicles must be registered with the owner prior to arrival. A civil penalty is issued to homeowner from community association in the amount of $200 for any unregistered vehicles security sees. Must provide primary driver name, cell phone, Make/model, license plate # and state.
Keys: There are no keys for the home. The home has an electronic door lock on the front door that you will use during your stay.
Check-in after 4PM. Early check-in is not allowed. When you arrive, the home is remotely alarmed before your check-in time and at your check-out time. Please inspect the home for cleanliness. If ANYTHING is not acceptable, do not hesitate to contact me. We kindly ask that all guests remove their shoes when entering the home to ensure it is clean for everyone's use after your trip.
•QUIET HOURS-Community Association rules and regulations on quiet hours are daily from 10PM-5AM. Security is on guard 24/7 and neighbors will call them to the home. Disturbance of the peace citation will be issued to homeowner and renter will be billed $200 for each occurrence.
•MUSIC and TV USE- There is a BOSE sound dock for you to use at the home in the livingroom with an AUX cord or Bluetooth capability. There is also a BOSE surround sound system on the TV in the livingroom. In order to hear sound from the TV in livingrom, you must use the BOSE remote and hit power. The sensor box is above the cable box. Please do not change settings on the TV including the sound settings without putting it back to its original settings.
•HEAT. The house is very comfortable at 70 degrees F, however, if you choose to keep it above 72 degrees F, a $25/day surcharge will be assessed. If having difficulty maintaining temperature in extreme cold ensure the following:
•Fireplace: If not on, make sure flue is closed and glass doors are closed. If there is a fire, it is for aesthetics only and the glass doors should still be closed. The fireplace takes heat out from the other rooms. If running, close glass doors. When fire is completely out, ensure flue is closed and glass doors are closed as well. Temperature will quickly increase and maintain a comfortable range. Failure to clean out prior to your departure will result in a fee of $50.
•OUTDOOR HOT TUB: USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. NO CHILDREN ALLOWED. PLEASE READ CAUTION SIGN FOR WARNINGS AND LIMITATIONS OF USE. RENTERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CLEANING OF THE TUB AND ENSURING THERE ARE ENOUGH CHEMICALS INSIDE FOR SAFE USE. MAX OCCUPANCY INSIDE TUB IS 7 PEOPLE AT A TIME. IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS FOR USE, FOR YOUR SAFETY, CLOSE AND LOCK THE COVER AND DO NOT USE.
•Bathe before using hot tub. Lotions on the skin will cause the hot tub to become contaminated and filled with foams/suds that will cause you to not be able to use it. We ask for your enjoyment and those that follow your stay, to please bathe before use.
•Prior to using the tub you must check the water chemical levels first by using the test strips. All the test strips and chemicals are located in the storage container on the stairs to the tub on the top step or inside the home in the hallway closet by kitchen.
•NO alcohol in hot tub. When it falls inside, especially beer, it contaminates the water and requires a professional to come out and clean. You will be responsible for the $300 cleaning fee.
•NO SMOKING policy in the house. Can smoke outdoors but please dispose of your cigarettes safely and accordingly. Remember, these are woods and are easily flammable. There is a cigarette ash trash on back patio.
•SNOW-There is a snow shovel located on the front porch and on the back porch outside kitchen. Please utilize in the event of bad weather and return to the location when finished. There is rock salt in the small trash can on the front porch as well. The driveway and walkway are plowed during storms at the end of the storms. Each renter is responsible for their own shoveling before, during and after and owner assumes no liability.
•POWER OUTTAGE-The breaker box is located in the basement utility room which is locked. In case of a short, please immediately contact the owner for access instructions.
•FROZEN PIPES-In the winter, please ensure that the upstairs bathroom shower door remains open when not in use. Failure to do so could result in freezing of the pipes.
•WINDOW BLINDS-Please be gentle when opening and closing the blinds. There are blinds built in between all the windows and doors of the home. They need to be gently opened and closed. When opening, please tie cord around the provided attachment affixed to each window/door.
•FIREPLACE-Please remember to open and close the flue for the fireplace upstairs. Cannot burn whole logs and cannot overload fireplace.
•FIREWOOD-You must purchase your own wood or you may purchase and use the wood on the side of the home closest to the master bedroom for a weekend fee of $50.
•COAL STOVE-THE STOVE IN BASEMENT IS NOT A WOOD STOVE IT IS COAL AND NOT MEANT TO BE USED. COAL IS HIGHLY TOXIC AND SHOULD NOT BE USED BY SOMEONE NOT FAMILIAR WITH RUNNING IT.
•TOILETS-Please remember we are on a septic system which means you must be careful with the water and sewer. Only flush septic safe toilet paper and dispose of all other items. Also, do not overfill dishwasher or washing machine with detergents. Failure to do so lead to costly repairs which you would be responsible for, in addition to a disruption in service and just ruins your trip.
•SLIDER DOORS-To open any of the slider doors you must first unlock the latch on the floor by each door to the open position and then turn the lock to open by the handle. Reverse when locking and always ensure the floor latch is enabled when leaving the home.
•CAMERAS-There are cameras on the outside of the home. These cameras are not installed to protect anyone and/or does not guarantee any protection or prevention from harm or injury.
•Grilling is permitted on the back patio of the home. What is there is a gift, otherwise have it filled during your stay. Propane is not included with rental. Please just ensure that the propane is turned off when not in use. Failure to clean is a $50 fee.
•NETFLIX- Please use the NETFLIX on the livingroom TV. To do so, please turn DVD player on and switch TV input to DVD player. Using the main menu on the DVD player select Netflix and enjoy!
Activities: Keep your eyes open for lots of deer and turkey. There have also been reports of bear, so please do not leave food or drinks outside.
Things to bring: Just a few things that might enhance your stay:
•Flip flops and bath robes to use when entering outdoor hot tub. It is a cold walk from indoors to outdoors.
•Extra towels for hot tub use or showers/etc. We guarantee one towel per person during your stay. Any extra we suggest you bring your own.
•Extra blankets and/or clothing. This is the mountains and it gets COLD COLD COLD!
•Bring bath products and sponge for showers.
Local Information: Here are some essentials you will need to know how to get to and along the way you will see many other stores you can visit.
•Grocery store: Walmart- L out of property onto 940, travel down 2.5 miles it will be on the L.
•Grocery Store/Liquor Store: L out of property onto 940, travel down 3 miles R onto 611 L into Shoprite Plaza.
•Dunkin Donuts: L out of property onto 940, travel down 3 miles, L onto 611. D&D on R.
Checkout time is by 11AM. On the morning of your checkout please do the following: Plan in advance for this, there are no late check-outs unless approved prior to your trip. Late checkout results in a penalty up to the prorated hourly rate multiplied by 2.
•TRASH- Carry in and Carry out
$100 will be billed to account for proper disposal for every 2 bags left behind.
•Place all towels and sheets in the room in which they came from unless wet. You can leave beds unmade but ensure all mattress pads/protectors and pillow protectors remain on them at all times.
•Return all games to proper spot.
•Please run the dishwasher and return dishes, cups, and utensils to their proper cabinets and drawers.
•Please clean out fireplace and close the flue.
•Ensure you do a general cleaning of the home. Remember how nice it was when you arrived and please return just as nice. This helps ensure rates stay low as do cleaning fees. The cleaning fees are primarily for linen service and overall deep clean and sanitizing, not for maid service. There is a vacuum cleaner in the closet downstairs at the bottom of the stairs. The hose plugs into the outlet on the wall for central vacuuming.
•Please turn down temperature of home to 58 degrees
•Please turn down temperature of Jacuzzi to 98 degrees and ensure cover is properly placed on top.
•Please lock all windows and doors and shut off all lights.
