**In the spirit of Mettā we are taking every precaution to maintain clean and healthy home for our guests & our family by following CDC best practices.
The Mettā Home was built in 1895 for Irvin Hudson, an upholsterer, and features original pine hardwood floors & vibrant colors throughout. It’s a visual representation of not what we think, how we think—the embodiment of our thoughts, philosophies and values.
In a society choked by an endless stream of information and mass-production, our three bedroom home should feel like a sanctuary: a harmonious space of realignment.

Our old home is located on a quiet and centrally located block in historic Church Hill, a walkable neighborhood with architecture dating from the early 1800s. Many of the neighborhood's parks have amazing views of the Richmond skyline with the downtown. Which is just a short walk, bike, or drive.

My husband Eric and I enjoy traveling. I travel the world for a living and sneak in family trips from the rewards of the many miles I travel. I am in product development for home decor products and Eric works at a law firm. We love to collect things from our travels to incorporate them into our home. When not traveling we spend a lot of time on the back porch planning our next adventure, walking the neighborhood discovering the parks, gardens, architecture and enjoying the various restaurants in Church Hill. Sometimes we make it off the hill to explore other cool areas of Richmond like Jackson Ward, the Fan, and Scott's Addition to name a few. We thought it would be nice to share our little nugget of history in this historical, hip, and diverse neighborhood we live in by opening our home to fellow travelers. We hope that you enjoy your stay and love this home as much as we do!
