Holiday houses in Ropa

Nenad and family could not have been more friendly and helpful, going out of their way to explain the best walking routes as well as giving us a lift to the port. Location was perfect for us, right in the centre of the National Park surrounded by forest and wildlife. Very good local restaurant in walking distance. We had a brilliant stay.

Very nice host, she was able to guide us during our stay and give us plenty of advice. Very helpful and accommodating, I recommend 100%. It is still necessary to provide a means of transport to access the island's activities as well as housing, But hitchhiking is quite easy on this island. We had 3 wonderful nights!

We had an absolutely amazing time on Mljet and in Joseph's accommodation. Located in Ropa, the apartment is ideal for expoloring the entire island, including the National Park, Odysseus Cave, Saplunara and other beaches. The closest beach is in the Ropa village, 5mins from the apartment by car. The accommodation is impeccably clean, equipped with everything we could possibly need during our stay, spacious and with amazing views overlooking the forest and the sea. Joseph and his family (especially Franka, his granddaughter) were so kind to us and helpful with advice on what to see during our stay. The family produces their own rakia, olive oil and honey which we were welcomed to taste - and ended up buying as souvenirs from our time on the island. Highly recommend! 🙌

Mia's place is very tasteful and very well-equipped. You can feel Mia's professionalism through many details. It's already been said but she really does cook very well. No need to go to the restaurant you won't find such good value for money (€20 per person). It's good and it's hearty. Mia also offers a very good breakfast for €10. Service is at your table on your balcony facing the sea. It's a really great place. Without hesitation, if I ever return to this island, I will return to Mia's.

The accommodation was much better than we expected. Clean, fresh and partly renovated. Fantastically nice patio overlooking the large lake in the middle of the national park. Opportunity to swim at the boat dock below the accommodation. Access to swimming areas at various locations around both lakes. An extra plus was that the host had made sure that there was a basic supply of spices and the like in the kitchen, as well as hygiene items. It was also good because it was a bit of a walk to the grocery store. We highly recommend this home!

The villa is compact but perfectly formed. It had everything we needed. The outside space is fantastic and we spent most of our time outside when at the villa. I was aware of the small public beach just to the side of the villa from previous reviews but it didn't trouble us as it wasn't very busy. Definitely take beach shoes as there are sea urchins, thankfully we did. 😊. Sobra is a great base for the island. Central location means you can visit Pomena/Polace one day and then visit Saplunara another day. Glad we had a car as definitely needed to get the most out of the island. Would highly recommend the e-bikes in the National Park. We were greeted by Ana's mum who was super friendly and very helpful. Ana was very helpful and reached out via text a couple of times to make sure we were OK. The use of the kayak was brill. Our son loved that.

Ropa is a perfect hamlet to enjoy the sea and be quiet. We'll come back again and again... The apartment is perfect and extremely clean, and the air conditioning is working! The surface is small and you can stay there at 3 max (the open sofa takes up room in the kitchen) Maria was very welcoming and it's great to have the owner who is nearby!

My wife and I stayed here with parents and family for the first time and we will be back for sure. The house is really unique, beach is basicly in front of house. Everything is so peacfull and place is brand new . Hosts were very welcoming , provided everything we needed !
