It is 20 mins away from Hobbiton and the entrance to MEI Sanctuary. Being 1 hr drive from Raglan, Mt Maunganui, Taupo and Rotorua. We aim to provide clean and comfortable indoor outdoor living while enjoying beautiful views, peace and tranquility whilst relaxing in your own mountain hideaway with amazing stargazing opportunities.

Our modern, comfortable, apartment offers you rest and privacy in a truly magic spot just perfect for a relaxing stay -great place to base yourself to visit local attractions. It's central to many NZ attractions...Lake Karapiro (rowing), Hobbiton (Lord Of The Rings), Avantidrome (cycling), Waitomo Caves,The Arts and much more. You have your own access and a key during your stay. There is good parking. The apartment is self contained and separate from the remainder of the house where we live.

Tucked into our established back garden of fruit trees, you can enjoy a quiet private hideaway with easy entrance and off-street parking. Perfect for singles/couples wanting to explore our beautiful Cambridge, or a one night trip stop-off. We are a 20-25 min walk (5-10 min drive) to Cambridge township amenities incl walking paths, Lake Te Ko Utu Domain/shops, and wonderful cafes/restaurants. The velodrome and Te Awa River Ride are a short drive away. Cambridge is the jewel of the Waikato!

The Hilly House, Private Boutique Accommodation

The Hilly House is a hillside property in the heart of the Whitehall district, surrounded by beautiful rural views. Very private. Outdoor baths for relaxing in peace, star gazing with a glass of wine or two. Our friendly and inquisitive llamas will come over to greet you, you can fine their pellets inside the house. There are many lovely walks nearby. Blue Springs in Putaruru, 40 mins. Sanctuary Mt Maungatautari, 35 mins and 10 mins from Lake Karapiro and Cambridge with amazing eateries.

Gran's House

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. The beautiful rural views of Mt Pirongia and Mt Kakepuku will make your stay a memorable one. Centrally located in the Waikato area, Gran's House is an easy driving distance to many tourist spots and locations including Waitomo Caves, Hobbiton, Cambridge, Hamilton. Waitomo caves 43km's Arapuni 28km's River walks and Maungatautari hiking within 20km's A great stopover between Auckland, Rotorua, Taupo, Tauranga, Hobbiton, Waitomo, Waihou river (Blue Spring) and National Park - Mt Doom, Tongariro crossing, Ohakune and Ruapehu ski fields.

Cambridge Chalet

Lovely comfortable self-contained cabin for two adults. It is situated 10 minutes from Lake Karapiro, and Cambridge. The Velodrome, Hamilton Airport and Mystery Creek are 15 minutes away. Relaxing setting in gardens in a quiet neighbourhood. The kitchenette comes with a kettle, microwave, and toaster but no hob, stove, or oven. Please note that as the Chalet is in a residential neighbourhood, all additional visitors must leave by 10:00pm.
