This unique wilderness cottage offers peace, berry picking, mushroom picking and, with permits, fishing and hunting. The wilderness cabin is located on the shore of a pond and river. The cabin yard is reached by crossing the river on a bridge. There's no electricity in the cabin. The cottage has a wood-burning stove/gas stove with cooking facilities. Lighting is provided by lanterns and candlesticks. The courtyard has a fireplace and a sauna, which is 40 cm from the river.

You can only enjoy ready meals. Fireplace/shelter on the beach. Parking space in the yard. In winter, you can walk on the ice. 17 km to the airport, 13 km to the nearest City market and 17 km to the city center. The host lives in the same yard. Guests are allowed to move freely in the yard. The neighbors' yards are private.

Red cottage in the village of Rautiosaari by the riverside, 16km from the centre of Rovaniemi. It is recommended to use your own(rented) car. (Public transport runs infrequently.) From our own yard you can go directly to the river for walking and ice fishing. We have own sledding hill for the kids when enough snow has fallen. If you have good luck, you can see auroras from our backyard. Bed Linen and towels are included. The host is nearby, and you can always contact him by phone.

Experience our unique Aurora igloo. Clamping near the city centre but still next to the forest. See and feel the frost around you but enjoy the warmness of the real fire and down blanket. Enjoy Lapland! We have only one igloo in our garden and it is one of a kind! You may also use the garden around for winter fun activities. We have sledges and shuffles for your use. There is no jacuzzi/hot tub or sauna available in this accommodation I am afraid.

During wintertime you can also go country-skiing, alight ski trail is pretty close. Apartment is located two kilometers from city centre, 11 kilometers from airport and Santa's willage. The closest grocery store is only 200 meters away.
