Welcome to Villa Jaakkola! Villa Jaakkola is a log villa completed in 2022 in Jokijärvi, Taivalkoski. The villa is spacious and airy. Downstairs there is one bedroom and a living room/kitchen. There is also plenty of space and sleeping places in the loft. A new lakeside sauna was built at the cottage in the summer of 2026. The cottage has all the modern conveniences, and the large windows offer a magnificent lake view in two directions. It's nice to watch the northern lights and listen to the silence in the warmth of the fireplace. Welcome!

A neat, renovated studio apartment!

Tidy and spacious, just renovated studio with relevant equipment. The studio is located right in the middle of the village, but is a quiet apartment on the courtyard side. A 120 cm wide bed and a 120 cm extendable sofa with a thick mattress guarantee good sleep. Parking space with electric poles. Bedding and towel fee: 10 euros/person. Pets are allowed in the apartment under agreed conditions. We use neutral detergents. We cannot guarantee a completely fragrance-free property. Welcome to your stay!

Villa Salme: Cozy lakeside logcabin+private beach

A well-equipped log cabin in Jokijärvi, Taivalkoski, Finland´s Northeast. The cabin features a combined living room and kitchen + 1 bedroom. During the summer an attic room with a double bed is also in use. Use of a rowing boat, an Indian canoe and 2 stand-up paddleboards & use of the grillhut & firewood are included in the rent. You can also rent 1 single kayak separately, rental price 20€/day. Sandy-bottomed shallow beach facing south, providing a great swimming spot. Pets are also welcome!
