The Bunk House

The Bunk House is an 8 by 12 foot shed with 3-4 bunks. There is a twin sized bed across the back, a bunk sized bed on each side and a plank to pull out to accommodate a fourth person in the middle over the walkway. With this adaptation, you have an 8 by 10 foot bed. We provide foam mattresses, sheets, blankets and pillows. There is an air-conditioner and a heater. Bucket toilet behind the bunkhouse. Fire ring available. No pets. The water is from our deep well - tested, certified and delicious!

The cottage has period appropriate furnishings with all the modern amenities! This historic property is located on a quiet street near an elementary school. California is a great location. We are an easy 25 minute drive to downtown Jefferson City and situated halfway between St. Louis and Kansas City right off Highway 50!

We were so pleased with our stay here. Such a beautiful peaceful property with an adorable house. So quiet too. We really enjoyed watching and feeding the birds (home has a bird feeder about 40 feet from the house and a tin of birdseed for guests to fill the feeder if they’d like) and Kate had so many wonderful touches in the home. Would definitely stay here again. We were in town because our pet required highly specialized urgent medical care at the veterinary school in Columbia. It was an easy daily drive to the university.

Tara's Mesa home was a blessing a for ourselves and our adult children to spend the weekend in. Tara is a very thoughtful hostess thinking of the little things ie: nightlight, fans, to charging cords. The reason for our stay was not an happy occasion but knowing we had a welcoming place to come back to a night was a blessing.

Charming Farmhouse Retreat

We looked forward to spending a few days in a remote area for a chance to view dark skies. The site would have been perfect except that it rained every day. Hiking trails were detailed but we did not have a chance to explore because we were so busy snd the weather refused to cooperate. Erin advised us that cell service may not work and Verizon did not. Wifi calling would be available. We had a problem connecting to the internet initially but Erin immediately addressed the issue. And it worked beautifully. The interior of the farmhouse is beautiful, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen tools, except for the lack of a Keurig, were good. If you want to drop off the grid, and if the weather cooperates, this is the place to be. Thank you, Erin!

We had a wonderful stay at Leila’s place! She was a fantastic host—super nice and very responsive throughout our trip. The house itself is a beautiful, older home full of charm and character. It was also in a great location, close to everything we wanted to see in Jefferson City. The home had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable and convenient stay. Highly recommend staying here!

My second time staying at Danielle's place. This is my first choice when in Jeff City. Walkable to Sunset Lake and Das Stein Haus, one of the places we like to eat. Close to everything I do in Jeff City. I like that it's quiet and feels safe.
